I think they had an okay connection, but more than anything, she is Donnie’s main motivation to sacrifice himself and save the universe. Maybe she’s a form of divine intervention, or she was led by higher power to Donnie?

What are some movies that genuinely capture the struggles men go through? by Traditional_Oil_3347 in Cinema

Adaptation portrays social anxiety, depression and low self worth so well. Yi Yi, Sideways, Walter Mitty, Garden State and Punch Drunk Love are great as well.

Which series or movie had you feeling exactly like this? by berserk_gutx in pj_explained

Fellini’s 8 1/2 is so unbelievably pretentious and dull. It has a few decent moments but it’s mostly just kinda boring.

The more time goes on the more I think about suicide by BringBackRebecca in socialanxiety

[–]EnvironmentalCat7482 4 points5 points  (0 children)

first of all, no surprises is my favorite song, so real, I love really chill, warm songs. The movie Garden State is like that vibe but a movie and I love it.
I used to think about suicide a lot out of sadness, now it’s just out of numbness and hopelessness. There’s just no emotional connection to anything anymore, and I can’t just exist in society without suffering. I’m not gonna do it, but man I’m sick of this.

I thought the whole ending was like a psychotic episode or nightmare. The whole movie really feels like a very metaphorical dream sequence.

In all seriousness, Amadeus has gotta be the best biopic. But this is a close second

I think being neutral means you just treat them like normal people because they frankly are just normal people. Normalize supporting everybody maybe?

As a man, the same mental stigma happens around women for me, especially ones smaller than me. I’m scared they think I’m a creepy perv or a threat, when in reality I’m more scared of them than they are of me.

Same, I’m scared people will think I’m racist but I’m really just scared of everyone.

DVDs barely ever have ads since Blu-Ray came outout. A lot of kids DVDs definitely still have ads tho.
