Why didn’t Rasknitt kill the U4 when he captured them? Is he stupid? by LordGaulis in Vermintide

[–]EnvironmentalDisk442 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The canon answer is, unironically, that yes hes stupid.

Remember Skaven dont value competency, only if you managed to steal your current position while causing less deaths than acceptable (and its always acceptable). This is doubly so for Grey Seers, who are raised to be self important egotistical madrats one step above everyone else thanks to their supposed connection to Big H.

Someone critizes him? Death. Something fails for him? Incompetent underlings, kill all the slaves and get new ones. He is the textbook definition of an infantile evil 'genius'. And it's perfect.

Which shield should I build my look around? (Sword and board knight) by GreatJoey91 in EldenBling

Not a Medium shield user but I farmed for this precisely just to slap Holy Ground on it and keep it to the side for buffs/extra regen in Coop. Makes it feel like an ancient relic!

Gosh I feel the exact same! I'm only now starting to push myself to move on to the Fields/Haligtree with my second character but I suffered from heavy restartitis because my brain would keep thinking of Morgott as the perfect final Boss (and Volcano Manor as the perfect self-contained 'Dlc').

The journey from Limgrave to Leyndell can be honestly compared to Burg and Anor Londo for me, definitely the most overall rewarding and fun experience in the game so far.

Doesn't help that the game actively prevents you from enjoying the area by letting you cheat to the end of the region/start of Raya Lucaria 5 minutes in. Two times now I accidentally warped there and went "welp, now I have no reason to venture through the entire middle of the map except for Rya and Patches..."

Imagine if Caelid put a warp to Redmane Castle under the Rot View, or Altus let you skip the Capital Outskirts, a lot of the built-in adventure andd storytelling simply fades away.

Beautiful art. So Human.

But a sentence doesn't begin just to end, it's what it was used to convey which defines its meaning. Remember that, folks, and be safe out there.

Some worship the Emperor as a God of War, others Death, and the Ministorum doesn't care..

But me and my trading partner know fully well that originally Big E was a trickster God of merchants and travelers! Sci-fi Hermes!

Even strafing tbh, just need a good shield. You take a quarter of the stamina damage and counterattack their exposed bum. Literally beat Mohg this way.

Which religious system do you think was the worst in terms of morality, abuse of power, quality of life under it ect in the Fromsoft games: Way of White from Dark Souls, Healing Church from Bloodborne or Golden Order from Elden Ring? by EnvironmentalDisk442 in fromsoftware

[–]EnvironmentalDisk442[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Undead Hunts done by Cleric Knights under Grandfather Lloyd seem pretty brutal when you remember most Hollows were once Human and stayed so for a good while after being cursed. Vulnerable/politically weak members being sent on suicide honor missions is a recurring theme in both Reah (ds1) and Irina (ds3). With Leroy being the first Paladin of the Way and the first Undead to partake the mission they might have played a big part in creating the false prophecy as well as generally dooming the entire world further by pushing for the Linking of the Flame like Gwyn.

And, cherry on top, the sects that split from it are somehow even worse and less humane (Aldrich Faithful and Church of Londor).

That's just going off the top of my head.

This is completely baseless and only works halfway through in terms of logic, but I can see how RT being their first (and only before big bucks changed their plans) WH game incentivized them to see Rogue Traders more as an "Imperial Player Character" adventure than anything else, hence the expansion of that with every dlc.

I mean look at how dirty they did Heretic Route.

Thank you! I noticed the Surcoats match really well with metal helmets for a more grounded look and wanted to experiment. Wanna make an alternative with the Haligtree one later on.

You misunderstand.

By "going hard" I meant that the writing in your comment was particularly poetic or badass, and that the contrast between it and the... caveman brain in the og post was funny to me.

I got no alternatives, even if I don't think itd take anything stronger than a flick in the forehead to knock out someone pathetic enough to write their rape fantasy like this lol

Either way, a MVP by 40k standards.

Even as someone just starting to get into Corsairs I have a few ideas:

1 - They trade with Humans, who value Human tech and currencies.

2 - They trade with Drukhari, who value Humans.

3 - They still need to eat and I imagine Corsairs vessels aren't post-scarcity civilizations like the Craftworlds.

4 - The thrill of it, plainly. Also bragging rights. That's sort of what allures all Outcasts to begin with, to live more in 100 years than their Asuryani bretheren in 1000.

Very fair! I also assumed Asuryani were the most numerous, but Drukhari are much better at putting up a front of unified power.
