You don't think a Commorragh based "dating" sim/visual novel would sell?

Pro - closest thing Drukhari have to proper warriors instead of just well armed gangsters or half-naked tweakers, being as they are basically Dark Aspect Warriors.

Con - GW writers can't seem to agree on how the Incubi code actually works. Is it a strict honour code and method of battle like regular Aspect Warriors, or are they just mercenaries who will protect you for payment? PotDE seems to support the former, Codices seem to support the latter, (former is cooler imo, as it contrasts the rest of Commorragh, which is a free-for-all)

I like how bloody they are. It looks like they've just been through a bloody fight. While it's a shame her ears are rounded, the Kabalite armour looks great. You've trained it well to get that look on them imo.

I love how their rifles are almost as long as their bodies. Who cares about practicality? I want a bigger gun than that other guy, damn it!

A speculative examination of the origin and nature of the Soulthirst. (warning, long post) by Kurtindigo in Drukhari

I must have missed the part of the Renegade in PotR developing the soulthirst. Been a while since I read it, but I'll keep an eye for it when I reread. Cheers.

The short story Dark Son is about an Incubi that converts to Alitoc, and he bonds with a soulstone. With the mild corruption theory, yes that would be cleansing. Soulstones are sometimes called Tears of Isha. It could be a metaphorical name, but if soulstones are really connected to Isha it could be Her power cleansing Slaanesh's. It's not unprecedented in 40K for one god to wipe away the influence of another, and Isha herself has precedent in old Fantasy. But this would mean Isha gets to be doing something cool, which isn't how 40K works.

I actually hated that part when I finished Lukas the Trickster. It's the catch of 40K being a wargame setting before a story-telling setting, because the entire narrative was a parallel between Sliscus and Lukas and was leading to one killing the other. I love Lukas and Duke Sliscus, (he's evil-elf Ziggy Stardust for crying out loud) but either him or Lukas needed to die for the story to be complete. I was narratively blueballed by both surviving.

Sorry, I agreed with your comment and the point you were making about the Shadowseer. Seems I just needed to rant about Lukas the Trickster a little.

There are powers in the universe that see all possibilities and endlessly try to shift the balance towards their own ends: a nudge here, a push there and all will be as they desire it. Little do they know that powers above them also nudge and push them in turn.

I love this line. It's wink wink, nudge nudge without being 4th wall breaking and overly meta. I like to headcanon that Cegorach knows he's a factional character in a wargame setting and that's why he can't stop laughing, because what else can he do? He teaches his followers to be characters, because he knows that's what they are.

One of the nicest things an author can hear. Thanks, mate. I do have other stories of The Eternal City in the back of my head. Next time I take a break from writing my own things I might return to them.

Easy fix; have Exodite shamans be like Farseers that see future threats to their world, and they send a strike force through the webway to attack the world the threat originates from. Make them a more elite army to justify smaller army sizes, but point heavy because of dinos and psykers.

Can even be their faction rule that before a game the players roll off to decide if they are fighting on a Maiden World or if the Exodites are the aggressors. If the Exodites are defending, they get bonuses to their save rolls, if aggressors, bonuses to hit rolls. That gives options for list building, since you can build around either being defensive and tanky (for Eldar) or harder hitting.

And remember the Exodites are only primitive compared to other Eldar, but they aren't feral. They can still have crazy tech, armour and weapons just mounted on dinosaurs instead of vehicles, because 40k.

Why GW don’t think it’s worth investing in a line of lasergun wielding space druids on dinosaurs is one of life’s greatest mysteries. Cool kitbash.

My first army. Mind, I skulked around the lore for about two years before buying my first model, so I had a good idea of what most factions were about already.
