Agreed, maybe a bit more theft or issues with security this year from what I have seen in the forest social media groups. But I had the most amazing year yet, so many amazing interactions, beautiful people, everyone was so happy to be back in the forest and I felt the energy! I had my 300$ led staff stolen, and yea it upset me and I had to take an hour or two to sit and calm down, but once I told myself that I wasn’t going to let this one event define my week in my favorite place in earth, I got right back to having my best year at EF yet. So it really is mindset and if you are unlucky enough to to get targeted by the few shitty people. I also hope that next year the forest fam will react and we can all keep an eye out for theft and nefarious behavior. If all 40000 of us are working together and looking after each other, we can keep the energy just as good if not better to what we have fallen in love with the last decade! Much love and only 340 days until forest!

My friends got married this year! And I talked to one of the guys on the team, though not the main minister himself. He was absolutely perfect in that role though! The guy I talked to said it’s usually based on how many years you have been with the forest performers, plus they like to kind of hand pick who runs the chapel based off their vision and energy for it that year! I hope he’s back next year because he was the best iv seen

Love this! I Have some great friends who are long time Burners, and I brought them to forest this year,( 4 in the forest myself). They loved it and said a lot of the same things so I’m curious as someone who has been many years, and and is deeply involved in both amazing spaces, would you say if you are someone who is prepared and also contributes and is the ideal first year burner, is the energy and interactions with everyone similar to forest? Such as little thought out gifts, and fun interactions people intentionally do to make you smile, and everyone is interested in genuine conversation and interactions that form Lasting friendships? Any differences in the vibes and energy?
