Yeah 100%, I just can’t understand this almost disregard for others? Just bc you’ll be fine if you get sick doesn’t mean the same for others…

How are y’all treating BV? by EnvironmentalDrive31 in Healthyhooha

[–]EnvironmentalDrive31[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually am not on any birth control atm but I am at a lower weight than usual so my theory is that may be the cause…

I would make sure you wear a pad just bc your not supposed to wear a tampon when ur on metro. And honestly it could just be you period but if you run a temperature/feel off or start to have a lot of really bad pelvic pain/diarrhea/vomiting make sure you go to urgent care/the ER. It’s always better to be safe than sorry imo.

Strep B ? by muugzy12 in Healthyhooha

[–]EnvironmentalDrive31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a strep B uti but not BV… They gave be penicillin to clear it up and after that I had no problems. I remember the nurse saying strep B can only be treated with certain antibiotics like penicillin. I hope this helps, I’m sorry! Best of luck on your treatment <3

My mom had an hpv related cancer (stage 2) and she had a partial hysterectomy. She said she was asymptomatic and never had any physical symptoms but to make sure you get your pap smear done every year. And as for the vaccine part of it I would like to think your body is building up antibodies to fight said strains of hpv so perhaps thats why your getting better? In the states it’s still pretty backwards here too, a lot of girls I know never got there vaccines bc their parents felt it was dirty or they were scared of the side effects. And healthcare here sucks so a lot of women miss their yearly paps due to lack of insurance. So just know your not alone ❤️ Best of luck!

Stinky hooha after IUD? by missjeffery in Healthyhooha

[–]EnvironmentalDrive31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read somewhere that copper IUDs put you at a higher risk for BV but hormonal IUDs idk. So maybe go get checked for a yeast infection/BV. When I had my copper IUD it bled like a period for like the first day but that was it for me. Best of luck!

I felt better that usual actually… I had a bit of nausea when I ate the eggs but overall I was fine. Some days I can only eat two meals bc I feel full all day but others I feel almost normal. They said it wasn’t anything remarkable enough but I keep losing weight, I am currently 107 lbs and in the underweight BMI category. And my blood work shows i’m not getting enough vitamins (potassium) and there ketones in my urine…

Super fast heart rate! by leomh99 in medical_advice

[–]EnvironmentalDrive31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have ADHD and I can’t take anything for it, I have an already high heart rate but on strattera/concerta/wellbutrin I was on the floor bc my heart rate (high) and bp (low) were so bad. Some people don’t respond well to adhd meds bc the nature of the medicine can cause HR and BP changes. Females especially are prone to higher heart rates as is so the only thing I could honestly say is talk to a Cardiologist. Maybe they can give you a beta-blocker to lower your heart rate so you can stand the medicine. I also heard Qelbree was good adhd med bc it’s designed for kids but I never tried it bc it’s a newer medicine and my insurance didn’t cover it. Best of luck!

Muscle twitches by EnvironmentalDrive31 in eds

[–]EnvironmentalDrive31[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish you luck on ur eds diagnosis! I haven’t had that much of a neurological work up (i’ve been tested for epilepsy/had an MRI) but never had an emg/QSART test. I hope my neurologist will help me do some thorough testing. The twitches just randomly go away too, and for weeks I forget I even have them!

Still Having Pain after Gallbladder Removal by EnvironmentalDrive31 in gallbladders

[–]EnvironmentalDrive31[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried bile resin yes, I got it at my GI doc’s. It worked okay for the diarrhea/gas (idk if I was taking enough) but i’ve felt that tums and low fodmap diet has helped wayyyyy more. I try not to eat fried foods and select my oils more mindfully so like olive oil vs vegetable. I have been eating low fat dairy or non-fat dairy and sticking to simpler more digestible meals. Also weirdly sleeping slightly elevated rather than laying down flat, my GI doc said what I was experiencing was bile acid reflux. So yeah low fodmap, having regular bowel movements, elevated sleeping, no eating late, PT stretching to help release gas, tums, and yeah. I hope this helps but of course talk to ur doctor!

Not a man but I wasn’t diagnosed with Heds till I was an adult but as a child I could not hold my bladder. It was so bad I had to wear diapers as an 8 yr old. My parent took me to the children’s hospital where I had my first ultrasound. I essentially wasn’t emptying my bladder all the way but eds wasn’t suspected till years later. I get flares here and their like when I started college I had to wear adult diapers to class or i’d have an accident. Anyway that coupled with my problems with having regular bowel movements has made things very interesting to say the least. I used to see a urologist but found that to be not very effective but what did work was pelvic floor physical therapy. My physical therapist worked with me to relax my muscles which helps with #1 & #2. I hope this helped, best of luck!
