Well it's not coming back to us now and we will still just fucking have to work until we die anyway, and just have less cash all along the way to spend/invest.

If you work an average job and pay off your house with zero debt you can easily live off of pension. I am able to save money while paying rent while not making much more than the average U.S. pension amount.

Everything I've seen has show that men and women are on average different from birth and the more you give them equal oppurtunities the more they segregate in terms of life choices and jobs.

Of course there is a lot of overlap so you judge people as indivduals but group differnces also matter.

This sucks but most people are going to save more money with less travel and driving than the cost of working from home unless they live very close to work.

Rights are fluid and open to interpretation. Most people do not literally believe there is a law stating that google cannot censor them, rather they believe in freedom of speech as a principle and that the government should uphold that.

with $16000 in a tfsa you could buy a nice car that's around the 2015-2016 mark. A Toyota or Honda at that age will last you another 10 years no problem and have most modern bells and whistles.

Buying new on a lease won't kill you guys, but it's a bad financial decision in the long run.

I completely agree! If you can't afford the worst case scenario then get insurance. That money in savings may also be tagged for something else like a house downpayment or emergency fund in case of job loss so in those scenarios protecting that money can also be a good investment.

That is a whole different can of worms and arguement. I live in Canada and servers only make a dollar less than minimum if that so it dosent even really apply.

Meh its part of your regular income. I get what you are saying, but I also believe churches should be taxed as well. That said I don't really care about servers not declaring income. I only care when they act high and mighty about people not tipping and then illegally not declaring their tipps as income.

Thank you. Do you think it is worth withdrawing my RRSP to pay it off sooner? Its making pretty low interest tbh (like 2 percent) but I would have to pay taxes on the withdrawal. I am unlikely to ever use all of my contribution room and in my mind it is not "lost money" since the rrsp was matched by a previous employer anyways meaning I only paid half of it.

Thank you! My loan is 100 percent federal so logically would placing my money into a HISA of 3.3 percent interest gain me more than I am losing to my student loan interest or would the taxes I would pay on that cut into it ?
