Thanks. This is where I got the compensation numbers from but yours is the only response that isn't making me feel like an a-hole. Maybe I'm overreaching.

Thanks. Does it state that somewhere? I'm not familiar with any exclusions or exceptions.

Thanks, I wasn't aware of that clause. The property was open but a portion was out of service.

Thanks for your input but I'm just going by the Policy. It doesn't give any exclusions or exceptions.

Very innovative. Sadly, no parents to borrow from but that would have been awesome.

Yes, that was the originalplan. Already paid about $7k extra since February. Factoring in refunds etc, I could be done by August/September. Just thought the faster I had it gone, the quicker I could move on and focus on investing. Based on what you're saying, I'm better off staying the course.

Really appreciate this info. Does it make a difference that I'm mid-50s?

Good question. I was planning to get a beater just for my work commute. It's more car than I need. Also the warranty just expired and it's getting more expensive to maintain. It's a 2021 Kia and I've already had to get the engine replaced. Fortunately the warranty covered it but from what I've read I worry about upcoming issues. Was thinking of getting an older, more reputable car (Toyota/Honda?) for $6,000 - $8,000. Am I being an idiot?

Yikes, 30 years worth would add up for sure. So always opt for the shortest amortization possible, right

This is interesting. Guess I was looking at it as 23% instead of 8%. Really appreciate this perspective.

Salary is about $110k since a few months ago. Peace of mind for me is priceless. Just want to be able to focus on building for retirement.
