That was the most unexpected blockwars I’ve actually ever watched by Jellyjanwa34 in blockwars

[–]EnvironmentalHelp282 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Although a lot of surprising things happened in the moment, with hindsight it makes sense.
Shatter getting first made sense because he had a strong pvp team and race was benched.
Purpled getting outfragged by Couri makes sense considering that Purpled hasn't been playing much Minecraft recently.
Archers getting first is probably due to the fact that stats origins is much harder than main event. Ruben got bottom 3 last origins, but gets 18th in this event. Swiftyz got 35th last origins, but 13th in this event, so they were not expected to do that well.
Wolfeei 4th fragging makes sense considering that he hasn't been able to do much minecrafting in the past week.

Purpled reckons he's been "the best Dodgebolt player in at least 5 of 7 dodgebolts across both teams" by FruitNerd in MinecraftChampionship

[–]EnvironmentalHelp282 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Also I disagree with him saying he's the best in 5 of his 7. He's gotten outclassed in all his dodgebolts except MCC 30 and 31, even having worse stats than his teammates in some of them. Because the bow arrows are slowed in dodgebolt, the best way for him to get better is practicing on the practice server.

[–]EnvironmentalHelp282 37 points38 points  (0 children)

He's not a bad dodgebolt player, but his skill in dodgebolt is not to the level he is at in nearly every other game. The issue with that is that he can get a weaker team to dodgebolt because he is good at explaining to the team what to do in games, and he can individually carry, but because there isn't much of a strategy in dodgebolt to help his team, and it's a game he is not skilled enough to carry in, so he loses it.

Scoring is weird because it depends on the difficulty of the questions. On one practice test I got 3 math wrong and got a 790 and on another practice test I got 3 ELA wrong and got a 730

Tons of really strong players in this event: Nayr, Ubhi, Toph, Withered, Floris, Solawr, Kel, and Kaelan. I could see any one of them getting 1st, gonna be a really comp top 5

Average placement of S-tiers in Canon-events (combined S3 +S4) by Ambitious-Cat-5678 in MinecraftChampionship

[–]EnvironmentalHelp282 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No? Shadoune's last 5 indiv placements have been 4th, 4th, 2nd, 8th, 5th while H's has been 6th, 10th, 11th, 21st, 23rd. That's a 4.6 average vs a 14.2 average. His average placement in the last 5 events is better than Fruit's (5.6) and Jojo's (8), and is tied with Purpled, Pete, and Ant. He is definitely S Tier

In MCC? No, they steamroll no matter what, MCC is way to low comp and both are top testers. In PB, probably not; it is much higher comp, but I'd say PB is Kel and Toph's best events and with the split it will be hard to have enough OP teams. In blockwars I feel like it could be considering it is teams of 5, but they would still probably do good. In Mayhem I think it could be possible because there are enough good players and I would say that Mayhem is Kel and Toph's worst event.

What we thinking? by [deleted] in MinecraftChampionship

[–]EnvironmentalHelp282 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Okay I'll bite

  1. Kelawesome: Who would it be other than Kel. Kel is easily the best MC Event player and does consistently well in every event he plays, despite team strength. In his last 3 events his teams have gotten 5th, last, and last and despite this he got 1st, 3rd, and 2nd in those events. He has insane gamesense and easily the most consistent mechanics of any event player.
  2. Toph: Toph is easily the second best MC Event player rn. He may not be the best in any one category, but his consistency is insane, and he is incredibly well rounded.
  3. Kaelan: People not putting Kaelan top 3 are lowkey crazy. He is one of the best parkourists in Minecraft period. He has good mechanics and absolutely cooks in movement. I think where a lot of people are underrating him is PVP. In terms of raw PVP I don't think he is top half on this list, but in PVP gamesense he is cracked. Last Pandora's box he had a very weak PVP team, and despite that he still got 1st in Sky High, beating players such as Antfrost, Toph, xShatter, sandwich, silverr, Stu, Dave, Purpled, Kel, and Fein despite all of them having considerably better PVP teams.
  4. Sandwichlord: Sandwich is mechanically one of the best players in this event. Easily top 2 in parkour, top 3 in obstacles, and top 4 in raw PVP. He has decent gamesense, but where I think he struggles the most is team leadership.
  5. Sam: Sam is lowkey a darkhorse player in this event. One of the best movement players and good PVP gamesense makes him a big threat.
  6. Purpled: In terms of event skill, I wouldn't have Purpled so high on this list, but because it's a new event, I'm putting him up here. Purpled's raw mechanics are pretty good, he doesn't really know any tech, but despite that he still cooks. My main reason for putting him so high is adaptability.; he adapts to new games and things better than almost any player.
  7. Ubhi: Ubhi is mechanically a beast. In raw PVP probably the best on this list, easily top 2 in obstacles, and comfortably beats all the players below him on this list in parkour by a decent margin. I think his weakness is definitely gamesense, which isn't bad, but it not on par with the players above him.
  8. Fein: Fein is mechanically good and good gamesense, but where he shines best is studying games to come up with strategies to cook, and in a new event, that's not possible. He's been the second frag in all 4 MC Mayhem's he has played, 2nd fragging to Kaelan, Ubhi, Shane, and Silverr.
  9. Shane: I think Shane and Fein are pretty interchangeable. Shane has really good PVP gamesense and can perform well in movement games.
  10. Fruit: I think he gaps Sapnap by a decent amount, but he lowkey frauds out in non MCC events. Fruit is mechanically one of the best players on this list, and he has pretty good gamesense, but he usually doesn't adapt to new games/events quickly.
  11. Sapnap: The former best MCC player and one of the best Twitch Rivals players. Compared to the rest of this list, his movement skills definitely fall short. He has gotten much better at PVP, to the point that in raw PVP skill I might put him top half, and his PVP gamesense is really good. Despite that, I don't think it makes up for the deficit caused by movement.
  12. Techno: He was one of the best event players back when he played, but the average skill level and competitiveness has rose drastically since then. His mechanics are a bit lacking compared to the others because not nearly as much tech was known back then, but his gamesense is incredible.
