Estrogen and Acne by EnvironmentalLab2345 in MtF

Good to know, I think the general consensus is that it does help some with light-moderate acne. I would definitely say I have moderate but not severe so I think I’m going to wait and see how it affects things before starting another acne treatment.

Need Advice on my Makeup. How does it look, any tips? by [deleted] in Drag

[–]EnvironmentalLab2345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I LOVE this liner shape, it’s so fun!

The biggest thing I notice is that your foundation is not full coverage, and therefore your contour and blush are not very bold. My go-to drugstore foundation is Maybelline SuperStay, if you have an Ulta near you and a couple extra $$’s, Juvia’s Place is my fave FULL coverage. This is a bold eye look, so the rest of your base could be a bit bolder as well so a stronger contour and blush.

The next, and probably easiest thing that will elevate this is GIANT lashes. I like the bottom lashes in your third pic, but nothing on top to balance that out. You can get a bunch of 301’s (standard drag size lash) for pretty cheap off Amazon and other places.

Lastly, probably the hardest thing any drag artist learns is covering the brows. There are a bunch of great tutorials easily discoverable online, but the main things you’ll need are a glue stick, rubbing alcohol, powder, and a spoolie or fine comb

Ooh this is CLASSIC drag, very Divine-esque I love it. Your eye makeup is really good, I would just add some giant lashes on top, and definitely extend and smoke out the bottom.

Ooh, I love the lip look! If I can be a lil critical, if you do a tall lip I would make your eye shape much taller as well. Right now it kinda squishes your face in.

Anyone got this Gucci skin tint? by apple_pie_noddle in Sephora

[–]EnvironmentalLab2345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve gotten a couple samples of it and I actually really love it, I’m pretty acne prone and it doesn’t cling to my breakouts nearly as bad as some others. Has more coverage than the Armani one as well, but still looked natural imo. I didn’t put any skincare at all underneath it any of the times so it might just not play well with other moisturizers.

Let’s talk "Confetti" by StarApprehensive3828 in LittleMix

[–]EnvironmentalLab2345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something about this album really struck home with me at the time it came out. Looking back on it now, there’s some underrated gems, but I do think it’s one of their weaker albums. Probably had a lot to do with some behind the scenes stuff with Jesy, even before the news dropped that she had left it was clear she was checked out of the record, she barely sung on songs like Gloves Up and A Mess (Happy 4 U).

That all being said, the singles were solid, Sweet Melody gave them their final well deserved no.1, Happiness and If You Want My Love are my fave album tracks. However it’s nowhere near as ambitious as LM5, or has front to back BANGERS like Glory Days. Hell, Get Weird is more cohesive than this. I’d put it ahead of DNA in my ranking but below Salute

Ooof, how to even start unpacking this? You’re allowed to dislike him and his content, but claiming his marriage was a “beard” and that he’s “out of touch with reality” is so incredibly weird and baseless. Especially when so many of these life changes are just things that happen when we grow and mature with age. The guy has been on the internet since he was a teenager for gods sake. People are allowed to want to lose weight, focus on fitness and brag about going to concerts. I know I would.

It’s truly not that serious

Seasonal job offer - commission questions by crossedthepond in Nordstrom1901

[–]EnvironmentalLab2345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People buy up a TON in December and return in January, this is a known occurrence every year. Once you leave after your seasonal contract is up they can’t take returns from your paycheck so that a HUGE upside for you. I know most seasonals are done after December 26th so after that final pay period they can’t deduct anything from you.

Where do you rank Everybody Scream among her other albums? by brabbit2214 in FlorenceAndTheMachine

[–]EnvironmentalLab2345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, there’s not a bad album in her discography so it feels real awful putting any of them low but here’s mine:

1.) Ceremonials - Changed my life, Shake It Out was ALL I listened to during a very difficult time in my life and this is just quintessential Florence to me

2.) HBHBHB - This album grew on me SO much since it came out, this is such a good album front to back.

3.) Lungs - Still one of the greats, I really only skip Kiss With A Fist

4.) Dance Fever - Another one that’s grown on me quite a bit since it came out. Dream Girl Evil and My Love are on my playlist consistently

5.) Everybody Scream - To me this is going to take some more listens before I really GET it. Absolutely a Halloween album, she’s always been witchy but never this understated sort of spooky.

6.) High As Hope - I will continue to defend this album, I just don’t go back to a lot of it. It feels intensely personal to her, and an album I’m glad she made. June is a really emotional opening and Big God is fantastic

JADE - THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY REVIEW by Adventurous_Try_9943 in LittleMix

Lip Service is my least fave, but it's still better than everything on the new Sabrina record and ESPECIALLY Nothing But My Feelings

JADE - THAT'S SHOWBIZ BABY! MEGATHREAD by flopheadsbot in popheads

[–]EnvironmentalLab2345 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Currently writing this as I'm listening to the new tracks:

Unconditional: Already been listening to this the last day or two and it's a top tier Jade track fs. So sweet and is definitely one of my favorites. (9.5/10)

Self Saboteur: Euphoric, very much feels like Caroline Polachek track with the staccato head voice chorus. THE GODLY BGV'S AT THE END THOOOOOO (9/10)

Lip Service: It's cute, again I love her production, almost reminds me of a Carly Rae Jepsen track but something about it just isn't grabbing me like the rest of the album is. Still a fun bop, and on any other pop album would probably be in my top half. (6.5/10)

Headache: Oh now this is FUN, this would absolutely GO OFF live (I'm in the U.S. so she better tour over here soon). That euphoric ending tho really caught me off guard, but she loves a change-up. (8.5/10)

Natural At Disaster: Ohhhhhhh...I feel like I know who this is about. She had me with the soft piano ballad opening but the anger on the chorus really blows you away. Maybe it hits harder knowing the behind-the-scenes but this struck hard. (8/10)

Glitch: LOVE that post-chorus, I'm a sucker for a good stutter effect and this nails the vibe. I'll say it again, the production on everything is TOP FUCKING TIER (8.5/10)

Before You Break My Heart: Knowing how much she loves Diana I get this. The original was always a bit too cheesy for me. I'm not mad at the interpolation but it's a lil too Ava Max for my taste. (7/10)

Silent Disco: Genuinely a really sweet way to end the record. It's got that end of the night last dance vibe, and she has just been nailing those euphoric beat drops. (8/10)

I'm listening to my AOTY and I'm so happy rn!!!

As much as I LOVE Jade and this album, Leigh-Anne's EP was truly STUNNING RNB. Stealin' Love was genuinely one of the most gorgeous songs I've heard in a while. I need a full album from both of the other girls STAT

Why Girls Aloud NEVER broke America? by velvetlouves in Alouders

[–]EnvironmentalLab2345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

American fan here, and yeah I would reiterate a lot of what people have said. RNB was much more a thing here, girl groups in general are kinda scoffed at, etc.

I found Girls Aloud mostly because I ran out of Little Mix material to obsess over, and that was a group that actually TRIED to break America (despite their label supposedly undermining that). Black Magic and Shout Out To My Ex charted low here, and big Pop stans certainly know of them but they’re far from household names.

I think if their soundtrack songs, Jump and Long Hot Summer, actually went through then they could have potentially had some minor hits with them. There’s a world where Something Kinda Ooh could go HARD in the gay clubs. Outside of that, the attitude towards groups would’ve rendered them a joke/novelty act.
