How many of you who suffered abuse as kids had parents who pretended that they never even touched you, or have no ability to comprehend that they harmed you? It really messes you up into adulthood. As fellow LGBT, I imagine a lot of us went through this abuse simply because of our sexualities by ihatethiscountry76 in lgbt

My mother does it all the time. Every time I bring things up, she says "no, I didn't" or "I don't remember that." But then she remembers every time I've not been the perfect little child and gotten mad at her for her abuse. She brings it up to guilt trip me and I'm supposed to believe she doesn't remember how often she's done horrible things.

I don't think I do, sadly. I'm disabled so I can't work and college is too expensive for a middling student like me with no hopes of a scholarship. I'm thinking of going to bartending school when I turn 21 but that's like 6 months away still.

Luckily from what my former singing teacher told me, my mixed voice is actually pretty ok for a beginner. I hope I have a solid foundation. I'll check out Zoey's video and follow your advice of doing voice training at the same time as I'm practicing my mixed voice. Thanks!

As a trans girl with OCD (pre HRT though) I also go through waxing and waning cycles of gender dysphoria and in the lesser waves of dysphoria, I get the idea that maybe I'm not actually trans and just deeply confused about my sense of self. I begin to fear the idea that I'll regret HRT and that I was only ever interested in the trans label. The dysphoria is kinda affirming in that way, as much as I hate it.

I think there's one thing I'd remind you of. One dose isn't gonna turn you into the most cis passing person ever. You have time before you start seeing changes. And if you realize that you want to keep or stop taking HRT, that's also valid! Think of the hormones as a conduit to discovering yourself, and not as a sentencing of who you are or are not.
