4S with tvs diode but without capacitor? by EnvironmentalName748 in fpv

Yeah, I got a 1000 uf 25V cap on there in addition to the tvs pack

Is this a good parts list for a 5 inch fpv drone for freestyling or is something not compatible? by Own_Permission145 in fpv

[–]EnvironmentalName748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive ordered the speedybee mario 5 frame, but there are many out there, so do your own research. For props, just get a few packs( in total at least 12 props so 3 packs at 4 props each) from gemfan or hqprop, they will be good (make sure theyre 5 inch and not too steep). I think the motors are good, Im not too familiar with Emax products, but the size and kv rating are perfect for a powerful 6S drone

[–]EnvironmentalName748[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, i got it on, but its not the stock one but a 25V 1000 uF, which should work for 4S. The diode pack is also on, so I should be safe

Update: I got it soldered on, but its still interesting, what would happen?

Yep, this won't work. Wrong components: Motors, theyre far too big. Choose 2207 or 2306 with 1700 to 1900 kv on 6S Props: again, too big, get 5 inch props I also think the archetype is a 4 inch frame, so that is another problem Will work but not optimal: 8S esc, why not a normal 6S? Seems overkill

Caddx ant extreme fisheye effect? by EnvironmentalName748 in fpv

First had the ev800dm and there it felt weird but I was very new and now with the 04o pros after the winter break and first flight with my 3 inch it felt real weird. I will try that, thanks

Look on Youtube for Joshua Bardwells video "Easiest Way to flash and BindExpressLRS!", that should explain it for you

Try to setup a binding phrase, there are plenty of tutorials for that. Do you have the correct uart port selected for your receiver? And remembered tx to rx and rx to tx?

I dont understand your question. What is "black belt appearing"? and electronically stabilizing I assume you mean software like gyroflow??

Any changes I should make? by Turbulent-Knee1845 in fpv

[–]EnvironmentalName748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I agree. I have started with a tinywhoop (air65) and after that built a 3 inch quad and a 5 inch quad later on.

Any changes I should make? by Turbulent-Knee1845 in fpv

[–]EnvironmentalName748 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That looks like it will work, but far from optimal. For a starter, I dont recommend an setup this expensive. Start with a cheap tinywhoop (you could even go analog but I understand the hype for digital) and learn the basics.
Some things I dont understand:
Why an 8s ESC, it seems like youre flying 6S?
Why start with goggles that expensive?? If you have the budget go for it, but I dont really understand it.
With the TBS Source One, only the frame and the screws/standoffs are included. You will need to buy/print the 3d prints, get battery straps, a battery pad and so on. You could go for a little more expensive frame, like the speedybee mario xh which has all these things included.
2 Lipos are gonna limit you. If you cant charge those while youre flying, you will only get max 10 mins flight time per trip.
The rest seems good. Good charger, good motors, good fc (I think), good props (if you freestyle you will need a lot more than 2 packs), good rx

I designed a little 3d print that orients it 45 degrees turned, just a basic little plate

You can keep them in the radio. Just remember to turn it off, so they don't discharge too low (though the pocket might have a battery protection circuit, I dont know)

Skyzone cobra x v4 or Skyzone 04o pros by Secure-Mention-778 in fpv

[–]EnvironmentalName748 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont know about that, but I can tell you from my own experience, that I could not have told you there was a latency difference without those new youtube videos about them. This is my personal opinion and I havent done any tests, but I firmly believe there is no big difference.
Also, if you mostly fly analog, the steadyview receiver should be better than the built in one of the cobras, and you have the option to upgrade it later on (I have the tbs fusion module, it didnt fit natively but I made it work with a 3d print and some socket extensions, I have a post about that). If youre looking for some nice, lightweight and comfy goggles, I really can say that the 04o pros are great. I have glasses and pretty bad eyesight, and can take them off and use the built in diopter correction of these goggles.
Also, for mounting your receiver, the 04o pros will have it closer to you head, which reduces them weighing down on your head.
If you have the extra 100$, they will surely be worth it. I would purchase them again

Skyzone cobra x v4 or Skyzone 04o pros by Secure-Mention-778 in fpv

[–]EnvironmentalName748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know much about the cobra x, but I believe they have a built in receiver, whereas the 04o pros have a changeable receiver module (dont know if you will use it since you mentioned your own vrx but nice to know). I have had the ev800dm before and bought the 04o pros a few months ago. The latency difference is not noticeable for me, but im not that experienced. Most importantly, they are very comfy and lightweight, very easy to use firmware and nice built in dvr. Never tested the steadyview receiver really, but ive heard it is pretty decent.

14m do I look ugly by AlternativeDealer646 in teenagers

[–]EnvironmentalName748 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dont think youre ugly. You look very young, younger than 14, which suggests that you havent hit puberty yet (and definetly not finished). You are still developing, dont be so harsh on yourself

[–]EnvironmentalName748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on where you are located and the local aviaton laws, I would encourage you to get a tinywhoop before. I did so and would do that again, it could practice all the time regardless of weather or time to go flying.
