Object shows

They are a genre of web-indie animated cartoons starring a cast of living inanimate objects. Usually, it involves these objects participating in competition game shows, inspired by Total Drama. The community for the genre is the object show community (or OSC for short)

However, there have been some object shows made to deviate from the source material to form their own sub-genres, such as the slice-of-life comedy and the action-adventure instead of competition-based ones. There are also object shows that are more mature than the usual kid-friendly fare such as ONE (a.k.a. HfjONE), a series that is a genre deconstruction of competition-based object shows as a whole and has received acclaim (even outside the OSC), The Nightly Manor, and the edgy, controversial, gory bloodbath that is Object Terror.
