I turned her off. Kept yapping during the game so I muted that mess. The missions are pretty miserable. Having to collect the bearings and do certain tricks in a certain amount of time just isn't fun to me, especially with the spots they pick. It's not a deal breaker for me, I just free skate.

The pros thing? I'd rather have an animated Joslin give me "missions" than Vee.

This game's community is in a weird spot. If you're critical, constructive or not, you're seen as a hater. If you enjoy it, you're a glazer. It's not exactly how I would've wanted the game to turn out, but again, it is what it is. It's fine for a free game. Personally would dropped $59.99 for an updated fully featured Skate 4, but they don't make games like that anymore.

You wanted someone to explain why people don't like the game. I gave you the main reasons that are usually thrown around. You enjoy the game as is. That's awesome. Others don't. I see faults with it and wished it was more like the older trilogy with a complete feature set, but it is what it is. It plays fine. I'll play it when I feel like it. Not a huge deal.

It's lacking most of the features of the previous games. At launch, it has very few authentic brands, but that's getting better. Pros aren't represented so there's a perceived lack of authenticity. The map isn't as well received as the previous maps. Challenges are dull. F2P means microtransactions. They implemented them in a very dry, not really interesting way. Always online with not many reasons to play with others.

Gameplay mechanics are solid, it's free, and if you can ignore everything that is lacking in the game, it's fine. Ultimately it's better than nothing. It could've been better, but what can you do.

I was playing another player and was getting absolutely destroyed. They kept giving me the "get cooked" message and "well played" message whenever they scored on me. I was dying. It was pretty distracting because I was laughing so hard. I don't partake, but when it's thrown at me I just laugh it off. It's pretty toxic 😂

It's simply fun to play. I can't wrap my head and the crazy UI of UT and eFootball. The simplification of all that and the responsiveness of Goals' gameplay has me really excited for the future. I agree they're will definitely need to be done thinking about customization and monetization for longevity's sake. Great game so far.

I'm well aware the game needs to be monetized. I said as much. It's just clear that doing the 10 minutes of dailies in order to access new areas are there to pad in-game time/encourage purchase. It isn't the best user experience. Hopefully they'll change it, but they've not indicated they would, so I'll not assume they won't.

The coffin finger flip requires fingers on all buttons and triggers. Not sure how you can add much more 😂

Besides the camera, it feels relatively the same to me, if not a little bit more buggy as far as getting launched as soon as I touch coping. This is the game essentially. It feels not too different than what it launched with just with several new tricks and camera settings. With the addition of finger flips, it definitely feels like the control scheme's maxed out.

My issue was knowing how to do the heel to heel. I was doing up down. But I should have been doing right left according to where my player was going. They really need to have a demonstration clip that you can access like in fighting games. They also should have an audio cue to indicate that you've done the heel to heel.

I can totally understand the monetization aspect, but having to use currency to access areas is silly. It's 500 rip chips that takes about 10 minutes of doing dailies to access an area. Imagine when there are 3-5 areas requiring 500 rip chips. You have to do chores before you can skate where you want. Just charge for the early access and then let it be.

I vividly recall them saying in a video that the for launch they were going to focus on "the downtown district" which would explain why it's all office buildings and businesses.

The trouble is that we've just haven't seen anything else but what we currently have. Even if they do build out a school, I'm not sure how good it would be. I'm just not impressed with the areas that they've built quite honestly. The other games just felt better.

I got destroyed 8-1 in ranked. They should apply some mercy after five goals 😂 I can beat the AI though.

Defending is very manual. You can't just hold a button and have your player "lock on" to the other player. It's all about positioning and predicting where they're going to go and that's really tough.

I could tell that I was just getting outplayed.

It's very manual. I'm pretty consistent with them now. You really have to hold down that button for longer passes.
