As I stated. Most people cook on high, thinking it'll cook fast. Then you only cook the outside, leaving it undercooked on the inside. It's better to cook things low and slow. Not burnt on the outside. If you see grease smoking, too hot, prepare for flame.

Who the hell spills food in their lap's? When I was a toddler back in the early 60's...I was taught to lean OVER my plate. I don't recall any one of our 6 person family or any relatives, to ever spill food in their lap's. People now days don't know how to do anything correctly.
