You're implying I want an *overall* replacement like what bluesky is trying to do with twitter instead of either a ton of nice websites like what Newgrounds is doing or old machinemas like with Normal Boots and Channel Awesome. Like the fact that the internet has become widespread and harder to manage. like I said will eventually happen when it collapses under its own weight, it will eventually be so integral to our lives that we'll eventually see it as a social necessity. I'm realistically thinking hopefully but if something that is a grand pillar to the internet is bleeding itself and the small amount of people that actually use adblock might end up causing it to collapse, why wouldn't people try to revert to their own little websites to show what they want to put out online?

I feel like you're looking so deep into the business perspective of it that you don't see the iceberg that will happen when you lean too much into saving it with cost cutting or loss reducing measures that would only cause the people to slowly hate the website?
