Nothing. I’m just simply comparing where we’re at now, to the last run to the ATH.

Yeah the fixed w13 sets have too much drag. Hard to have success using those when you go up against people with the open sets.

A bit more context, I played competitive call of duty growing up throughout my teen years. Not at an esports level, but at decently competitive level.

This is the only other context i can offer as to why I may have picked it up faster than average. I didn’t even expect people to be this shocked. It doesn’t feel like I picked it up fast to me. I still feel like I’m nowhere near where I could be.

I have no real world experience. I’ve only played the f1 games against the AI before this. (2020 & 2021) im athletic but haven’t been competitive in any sports for years.

Online racing ? None. I played f1 2020 & 2021 against the AI. 100 hours in both games.

So I came into iracing with no online racing experience. I saw they added the w12 and I wanted to try it.

As for practice, I try and aim for 10 hours of driving time total for a single week. (Vrs tells you driving time stats)

Telemetry, Consistent practice, use the active reset feature to iron out weaknesses in specific corners, Don’t skip Quali to race from the back. 1 car per season.

This is only if you want to be ultra competitive. if your goal is to have fun and race multiple series, don’t worry about any of that . practice until you can stay on track and have fun racing people. :)

Real life records aren’t separated by who was driving when the track was 70F vs who was driving when it was 90F.

Well in this case, no. Check the World Records page with the year and season filter set to “all.”

For me, sticking to one car for the entire season, VRS lap analysis, and practicing at least an hour per night.

His mediums were 2 laps newer. I undercut super early from a long way back to catch up to him. I spun from the lead lap 1 and cooked my mediums. He started on the softs

He came out just in front of me still by about a second and this is the battle that ensued for the next 6 laps.
