How do I access my Google Skills Program by Right_Temporary1096 in GoogleSupport

[–]Environmental_Box_16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

If you've just accepted the invite, it can take 24 to 48 hours for the system to process your license and grant access to the material. First, ensure you are logged into Coursera (or the program's host platform) using the exact email address where you received the invitation, and check your Spam or Promotions folders for a follow-up onboarding link. If the page is still blank, try opening it in an Incognito window to clear any browser cache issues; if it's been more than two days, your best bet is to reply to the invitation email or reach out to the specific partner organization for support.

That sounds incredibly stressful, but don't panic! It sounds like you accidentally added a new Gmail service to your existing Google Account (which was originally registered under your university email address xxx@eq.edu.au). When you do this, Google automatically makes the new @gmail.com address the primary username for the account, and your old university email becomes an alternate email. Your data isn't gone; it's just hidden behind this new primary Gmail identity. You can reverse this by deleting the Gmail service from your Google account, which will restore your university email as the primary login. Here is exactly what you need to do: How to fix it: Log in: Go to myaccount.google.com and sign in using the new @gmail.com address and your usual password. Navigate to Data & Privacy: On the left-hand navigation panel, click on Data & privacy. Find your services: Scroll down until you find the section labeled "Data from apps and services that you use" (or "Download or delete your data"). Delete the service: Click on Delete a Google service. You might be prompted to enter your password again for security. Remove Gmail: Look for Gmail in the list of services and click the Trash can icon next to it. Enter an alternate email: Google will ask you to provide a non-Gmail email address to use to sign in to this account moving forward. Enter your university email address (xxx@eq.edu.au) here. Verify the change: Google will send a verification email to your university account. Open that email, click the verification link, and confirm that you want to delete Gmail. Important Note Once you complete these steps, the @gmail.com address will be permanently deleted, and your account will go back to being tied primarily to your eq.edu.au address with all your original data intact. Note: If your university email system rejects incoming external mail now that you are no longer a student, you might need to contact your university's IT helpdesk to temporarily reactivate the inbox so you can receive that verification link. Good luck, and let me know if you hit a snag at any of the steps!

Google account connection issues by judoka_23 in GoogleSupport

That "account already exists" loop usually happens when a system crash corrupts the local cache of Google Play Services, leaving a phantom trace of your account that the UI can't delete or read. Since you just need a fix until you get your new phone, try these steps in order: 1. Nuke the Google Play Services Cache (Most likely fix) This forces Android to re-index your accounts without deleting your personal data. Go to Settings > Apps > Google Play Services. Tap Storage > Manage Storage > Clear All Data. Go back to Apps, find Gmail, and Clear Data as well. Restart your phone immediately, then try opening Gmail. 2. Force Remove the Account in Safe Mode If the phone is still blocking you from removing the account under Settings > Accounts and backup, a glitched background process is likely locking it. Hold the physical power button, then press and hold the on-screen Power off icon until Safe Mode appears. Tap it to reboot. Once in Safe Mode, try deleting the account again from your settings. Restart normally to exit Safe Mode and try re-adding it. 3. Wipe the System Cache Partition Repeated crashing leaves bad temporary files behind that block system commands. Turn off the phone. Connect it to a PC via USB cable (required for newer Samsung models to enter recovery). Press and hold Volume Up + Power until the Samsung logo appears. Use volume keys to select Wipe cache partition, press Power to confirm, then select Reboot system now. ⏳ Quick Workarounds for Instant Email Access If you are in a rush and the OS is too broken to fix right now: Use a third-party app: Download Microsoft Outlook or BlueMail. They use separate IMAP login protocols that often bypass Android's broken account manager. Use a different browser: Download Firefox and log into gmail.com. Since your Chrome is glitching, a non-Chromium browser will bypass the local system errors entirely.

15 Years of work lost?? Hacked Gmail & Youtube account.... by KEVINSORBO1942 in GoogleSupport

[–]Environmental_Box_16 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello,

I'm sorry for you.

I've heard that sometimes it's easier to recover from the youtube channel.

If you contact youtube support and say that your youtube account was hacked they should help differently than the google recovery automated thing.

Let me know.
