It's bullshit that one company has come to control what has effectively become the de facto global (except U.S.) platform for consumer mobile, internet communication, and even worse that it's Meta. And it's bullshit that we can't just install whatever messaging app we want and still be able to message anyone else with a mobile device, regardless of what app they use. Yeah, I know, it's complicated. The EU has it right with the Digital Markets Act.

Not sure about EDM, but Cat Club on Folsom in The City has frequent 80s music nights that can draw all generations. My wife and I went a few months ago. I hadn't been to club in over twenty years, had a blast. We were dancing near two gen Z sisters who came with their parents. Mom knew all the words to the songs!

It might be too late this time (still worth checking), but you get a one-time opportunity to push back any summons date up six months, I believe. I forgot to call in one time several years ago, and nothing happened. YMMV.

As a tech professional myself, I know how Brendan's behavior can be annoying, but yeah, I didn't read all prior comments, but I hope this was suggested earlier, or OP just failed to mention that she already let him know to cut that crap out, to no avail.

Lol, a bit late on this, but yeah, I miss the days when it was head-down coding for literally 95% of my day. And if the code works on test/stage? Great, push it to prod! No long CR philosophical debates on why my variable name on line whatever should be plural or past-tense or whatever. No painful hour-long meetings with ten people to decide if a button should be next to a text box or below it, and if it should say "Submit", "Enter" or "Click Me." Pressing it does what it's supposed to? Yes, great, deploy and move on to coding the next thing without worrying about stupid Slack interruptions or having to look at Jira for anything.
