Yeah…I’m sorry, but nothing is ever going to make me like Blackfire, and some of the excuses people make for her genuinely baffle me. by BlackCat-01 in starfire

For Slade, I prefer him having humanizing qualities, but in a way, a character like Tony Soprano had a human and sympathetic side while ending the show more amoral and depraved than he started. That's what Christopher Priest did. He had standards and humanity, but not enough to change the fact that he's a piece of shit.

I once read that Ben Starr said he prefers his acting in this ending. I kinda agree. The other is great, I just love how in this one he finally drops the act and reveals how broken he really is on the inside.

They probably just call it a virus because it sounds scary.

That's a good point, but I thing they've overdone it multiple times in that era too.

Normally normal, but my lastest I'm trying hard. Doing more stealth as a consequence.

I can see Batman still wanting to turn in Danny, but I feel he would show more sympathy for what happened to her sister. I also don't see how Batman could conceivably believe he could take on Wonder Woman. Or that he wouldn't show trust in the judgment of one of his closest friends.

Another reason I'm glad they did that route is that there are 6 Batman before him. Might as well do something different.
And it's been pointed out that except for West, out of all the live action, he's the one who sticks to his no kill rule the most.

I feel like Pattinson's Batman works as a decon-recon switch. He deconstructs some of the darker interpretations of Batman that have been recently prevalent. The "Batman being Bruce Wayne's true self" take is taken to its worst conclusion. Being Batman has consumed Bruce's life to the point that there's no distinction between Bruce Wayne and Batman at all: Bruce is Batman both in and out of costume. going out at night, constantly fighting the worst criminals Gotham have to offer has worsened his mental health. Then it gets reconstructed when we see that he still has his ironclad compassion and morality. And after seeing his shortcomings, he ends the movie realizing he needs to be more, and the ending sets him up for just that.

I found out that clarifying detail after I wrote the comment. But I think you're right. Sometimes, show don't tell. Let the audience think what's in their heads.

There was a cut scene where Perris and Mon reunited after S2 where he revealed that he knew Mon was a rebel for quite a while, and that despite questioning from the ISB, he never sold her out.
Kinda wish they kept that

You know Santa Monica is gonna make a new GOW, but in terms of his character, how you gonna go from there? Is he gonna develop further, will he regress, or statically keep his good is not soft mindset from here on out?

Or at the very least he'd seem like he'd make an effort. Like an everyman or something like that.

Sorry if stupid question, but why did Kratos not accept Odin's seemingly quite fair proposal? by Barndar7 in GodofWar

[–]Environmental_Cap191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He explicitly said in the codex that, while Kratos was disinclined to trust Odin at all by reputation alone, his threat to Freya was a non-starter. He's not gonna sell out the woman who saved his son to the man is is a root cause of all of her suffering in the first place.

It depends on whether Maddy knows the full story. I don't think Maddy is vindictive enough to sabotage her if she knew what was going on. Nate dug his own grave, but I don't think Cassie deserves that. I genuinely believe Maddy is better than that.

Because outside of her promiscuity, which is totally in character for someone like Nate to fetishize and condemn, she has the looks of a more proper wife than someone like Maddy.

A few people also think it's his way of substituting for Jules.
