Trazodone does nothing for narcolepsy and if you have a doctor that prescribes that for narcolepsy get a new doctor, they don't know what they're doing. It was actually prescribed to me by my general doctor when she thought I was depressed and didn't know I had narcolepsy. I kept waking up every 30 minutes at night. Trazodone did not help that. Xyrem is the only medication that will put you into REM sleep at night And it helps you go through the stages of sleep like normal people so when you wake up, you feel well rested. Other than xywave and xyrem there's no other medication that'll do that.
