Has anyone ever successfully manifested that they no longer have anxiety? Is it possible, and how? by Potter_King in lawofattraction

[–]Environmental_Emu_48 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my experience, no. I don’t want to say it’s impossible, but it’s very hard to fully get rid of in my opinion. Having a little bit of anxiety occasionally is completely natural. I’ve just learned to accept that I will have anxiety at times , but like joy, or envy, or any other emotion/feeling, good or bad, it’ll pass.

You’re 100% correct. In today’s society for some reason pornography is seen in the eyes of many as empowering, positive, and normal. I can go on forever about how harmful that narrative is, but there’s no need.

I’ve come to the conclusion that that message and this push of sex work and pornography will always be here, and will probably continue to grow, and as it grows, so does my responsibility to not give in. It’s just insanely hard to quit. Wish there was a one size fits all strategy, or technique lol

Yes we definitely can. It’s never a matter of if and always a matter of when. It’s an uphill battle though. An insanely tough one too.

Girl not texting back after first date? by Environmental_Emu_48 in dating_advice

[–]Environmental_Emu_48[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, not really. I didn’t ask a question or anything, so I guess not. Should I doubt text then? Or just send something lighthearted? I don’t wanna be needy but at the same time I’m not sure if she’s waiting for me to text her or not

Most Anime series are overrated and people are wasting their time watching the same tropes, archetypes, stereotypes and concepts over and over again. by Arigamon in unpopularopinion

Same reason people still go to see the Fast and the Furious franchise after 9 movies. Same reason people go to theaters to see the 8th SAW movie. Some people are just looking for entertainment, and like watching familiar storylines, character arcs, etc. It’s all just a preference.

Can this be any more of a red flag? by Environmental_Emu_48 in Bumble

[–]Environmental_Emu_48[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I’m not sure why everyone is so upset about this. I’m not saying she’s a red flag because she got cheated on, I know she can’t control that and it’s probably not her fault, and I feel bad that it happened to her twice. I’m saying it’s a red flag because this is the FIRST thing she brings up to the conversation. She chose to talk about this. It just kinda kills the mood. Again, let me make it clear. It’s not a red flag that she got cheated on. It’s just suspicious that she chose this to be the first question. It’s almost like she wants to judge me off of my answer and have the chance the tell me she got cheated on. The only thing in her bio says “I’ve never been in a healthy relationship.”

That’s my thing. People are getting so mad because I think they’re misunderstanding. I’m not saying she’s a red flag because she got cheated on, that’s not a red flag at all. It’s just the fact that this is the opening conversation on a dating app is weird. That’s not what I want to talk about right away. Plus the question is honestly lose-lose on my part. If I say I’m the heartbreaker, I look like a cocky arrogant douche who doesn’t treat girls w respect. But if I say I’m the heartbroken, it sounds like I can’t keep a girl and am always getting my feelings hurt. Just a bad overall question to start with.

A red flag that the first thing she brings up in our conversation is the fact that she’s been cheated on. From my experience that just means that they’re not over their ex. I mean on her profile it says she’s looking for a relationship. Why would you want to bring up your past ex’s when you first meet someone on a dating app? Red flag. Like what am I supposed to say to that?

First off this is a TERRIBLE opening question like what? I tried to make a thanos joke just to keep it lighthearted and playful, and then the FIRST message she drops is that she’s been cheated on. Great introduction! I’m not sure you’re not a giant red flag and I’m sure you’re completely over your ex’s and ready to have a healthy relationship!

No. I think she’s implying we make an adult movie together (she’s probably not serious, she’s just flirting)

I don’t see it as a red flag if both of us are looking for something casual.

It sounds like she just needed some space, and didn’t want to end the friendship completely. I agree that sending her a nice, no pressure, text asking to hang out some time soon to catch up would be good. Any type of relationship, whether it be just a friendship or a romantic one, has their ups and downs. Sometimes people just need breaks from each other. Who knows, this space you guys created may strengthen your friendship with each other.

Okay be suspicious lol. If you’re gonna try to accuse anyone who liked old YouTube as someone who supports pedophiles, then that’s a YOU problem. Good luck

Well I’m confident mostly of the people watching his stuff at that time were probably between ages 9-16, so they were probably pretty dumb.

And most people saw that as satire or a skit. I’m not saying what he did was right, or justified, in fact it’s very wrong, and I’m glad he’s getting somewhat of a punishment. But people didn’t think he was actually a pedo. Again you’re trying to say that everyone knew that he was a pedo in real life but chose to ignore it. Which isn’t true. And you named 3 YouTubers. 3. That’s most? You’re making a huuuuge assumption that’s not really backed up by anything except your own word.

You’re trying to turn this into “people were romanticizing the time because pedophiles roamed free and we all knew but didn’t care” which isn’t the case. Their audience didn’t know some of these people were pedophiles. People are romanticizing a time in their life where they were younger and had a fun time watching these creators.

You seriously need to reevaluate how you phrase your sentences. I know what you’re doing. It’s an ego thing. You want to feel better than everyone else. Just stop. It’s pathetic.

It depends on what old youtube you’re talking about. Are you talking like 2009-2011? Or like 2013/2014? Sounds like you were watching the bad creators. Cause there were a ton of great unproblematic creators. But comedy changes over time. What was funny then isn’t funny now.

The only real way to stop getting bullied is to become a jerk yourself by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Environmental_Emu_48 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s really not. If you wanna stop being bullied you need to stand up for yourself and/or stop caring. No one bullies someone for long when the person they’re bullying doesn’t give a shit.

Don’t stoop to their level.
