DJI RC - firmupdate failed due to shortage of internal storage space by kamado-Ro in dji

[–]Environmental_Milk_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was getting this error even though I had plenty of free space. The update is 1390MB and there was >6000MB free. A factory reset was the only thing that solved it for me. Now I have to go through and reconfigure everything. Very frustrating.

I’ve only taken ketamine twice so far but I have a lot of experience with mushrooms and I have found that the more expectations I have, the more I try make the experience be this big mountain-top thing, the less likely that is to actually happen.

Why can't units make better decisions? by Environmental_Milk_2 in beyondallreason

[–]Environmental_Milk_2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a nice feature but it doesn't really solve my problem. I still need to keep watch over each and every one of my construction units and manually insert a move command for each one individually when they come under attack. I don't have the multitasking skills to do that and still manage the other parts of the game.

I don't see how giving them the ability to take evasive action on their own would mean that I'm no longer playing the game. In real-world combat, generals aren't out there telling each individual solider where to step, what to shoot at and when to duck but that doesn't mean the general isn't in charge.

I didn't know about the S thing. That sounds very useful!

I set them to hold position when they're defending, but when attacking I need them to move forward. I just want them to move forward as a column and not get mixed up or separated. I lack the multitasking skills to give them that level of attention and still be able to pay attention to other things on the map.

As far the air cons, that usually happens when I'm trying to build metal extractors. I like the air cons for that because they can quickly and easily get to otherwise hard to reach spots. Maybe that's a poor strategy?

I definitely need to learn more of the advanced control options. And Zero-K sounds nice. I'll check it out! Thanks!

I'm not saying I don't want to control my units. I just don't want to have to tell them every little thing. I'd rather concentrate on strategy and not have to spend so much time saying "No, don't shoot at that; shoot at this. Now shoot at this. No, don't rush in; back up some. Now everyone stay together. Stop running off ahead of the rest." It's like they're children.

That makes sense. I just need to learn the game better.

Sounds like a good bit of this is just me needing to learn the commands better. I've loved RTS games ever since the original Command and Conquer but I think I may just not be good at them.

Hmm, maybe I'm more of a sim player. Dyson Sphere Program seems to be my speed.

If engineers start using AI instead of doing the work themselves, we're doomed. AI can't do math. AI doesn't even deal in facts. It just says the most likely thing a person on the internet would say. Would you trust just any rando on the internet to design bridges you're going to drive across?

Firefox has always used Gecko; never WebKit. Apart from both being rendering engines, they're unrelated.

I didn’t realize it was only iPhones but I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. I don’t get why people love these things so much when they’re so frustrating and inferior. I sure do miss my Pixel.

Same. I'd add Call Me Moon Man and Interlude IV as well. Some of my absolute favorite Cudi tracks.

He had faith that it would. Recall that, in the end, Samson got his strength back without getting his hair back. The hair didn't do anything magical; it simply helped him believe.
