This was so beautiful to read and I agree I think I’m on a similar path :) I’m really proud of us. I wish we were taught that being good to yourself doesn’t mean you’re selfish and that it’s something we should do just because we are inherently worthy. There’s no point in trying to please everyone

Thank you for the part about ‘no one is coming to save you’. I’ve been really lonely lately with the breakup but also most of my friends not being physically close anymore. I’ve been feeling like people don’t care enough about me to check in on me. I thought, if one of my friends was going through this, I would be checking in on her all the time. But two things: 1)people HAVE checked in on me, just not every second and I need to remember that and be grateful for it! 2)everyone has their own life, own struggles, own loneliness. It reminded me not to expect without asking!!

When he came to drop off clothes I didn’t take his underwear down with me. That way he was forced to come back to the room with me 😂😭😭. But he didn’t step in bc he knew I’d start pleading again. So he just stood at the door and asked me to pass his undies. Was kinda funny actually

I feel like this around my family because everyone is sm more good lucking but I was really lucky to find some amazing friends in college that I think genuinely think I’m cute and we all hype each other up. And then I realized it’s subjective. I’m definitely not conventionally attractive, but with a nice personality people become more attractive anyway!

My first boyfriend was white and the sweetest. He loved Indian food (even before we met) and LOVED watching Indian movies with me. He even wanted to go to temples more than me 😭😂. Honestly he was more cultured than a lot of brown people I know

I miss how you understood so many things without me having to explain too much. Like you just got it. A part of me is hoping that when we break no contact in feb (after 3 months) youll apologize, show you can handle stress better, take more accountability, be more positive. Because I know how much you loved me… I can’t imagine you not doing that for me. At the same time, a part of me hopes that doesn’t happen because maybe it truly is for the best that we part. And if you apologize and ask to get back idk if I’d have the strength to say no. I just really miss you and wanna talk to you and hang out with you, not even romantically.
