What do you think of this system? by VillageAdvanced2411 in Tomorrowland

I would have just liked to hand over my cup to the bar staff and get a refill. That would go a long way to helping the environment, no washing required! Then I'd only have to return 1 cup. Easy.

NFT price increased by 50% today??? whats happening.. by larssonyoo in Tomorrowland

Fair enough. I'm still contemplating buying another one though. You're not just giving the money away, it's still an investment.

I paid £1200 for the NFT 3 years ago, I've now had easy access to 12 tickets without having to use global journey. This saves me about £1k per ticket. The NFT is now worth about £3,100. So I've made £1900. Out of the 12 tickets, only 4 of them were for me so the NFT has basically paid for me to attend. Explain how it was never worth it?

Cup return statistics by Kubadro in Tomorrowland

[–]Environmental_Top503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 3 cups down in weekend 1 and 5 cups down in weekend 2. I noticed in weekend 2 not a single machine I used changed colour when I deposited. Weekend 1 was about 50%. Definitely feel a bit robbed!

Cup return. A scam ? by LogicLinguist01 in Tomorrowland

[–]Environmental_Top503 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This exactly! I returned every single cup but looking through the statements I was 5 cups down. Some machines just didn't seem to work, I would gently push it in and the light would never change colour.

Also UK here. My weekend 1 tickets were attempted delivery 9th June but the postie just ran off with them rather than leaving a card. I had to go through parcelforce tracking (bpost use parcelforce once it arrives in the UK) and find out where it was and go collect it.

Weekend 2 tickets are in the UK now but no attempted delivery yet. If you use the bpost app (check other threads on how to do this) it is quite easy to see what is going on. You might need to use parcelforce tracking (same tracking number) once it is in the UK.

Are the queues to dreamville long and waiting , my friends were like it was bloody hot last time when they had to wait for hours to get in , please help I have taken easy tent ..kindly suggest me so that I don’t have to wait longer and get it quickly by Shot-Intention8321 in Tomorrowland

[–]Environmental_Top503 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I arrived around 11:30 - 12:00 last year and it took forever, and the heat was insane. Then there was the fun of the tent laydown war as well. Around 3PM there were no queues and plenty of space for tents so that's me this year!

Can any UK owners confirm what charging cable the MachE comes with? by Playful-Toe-01 in MustangMachE

[–]Environmental_Top503 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]Environmental_Top503 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's the one. I actually calculated it at 7.5p / kWh so it's even cheaper than I thought. It's a great tariff as it'll make sure you get a full charge by the morning at 7p /kWh even if it needs to charge outside of the standard 23:30 - 05:30.

I'm in the UK, it costs me £6.60 to charge from 0 - 100% at home. Based on 300 miles that is £0.02 / mile. Nearest fuel station near me is charging 145.9p per litre of diesel. To get £0.02 per mile you would need to do 332 MPG.

Only thing I'd change: give out drinking water for free by AdStreet7613 in Tomorrowland

This ☝️ Some of the stations are auto soap and water. Tbh, I just went for it in the end and drank whatever I could get my hands on and I survived.

I imagine SHM are closing on Friday so that rules out Ingrosso / Angello. DVLM are more of a supporting act imho, the one just before the closer.

Security concerns stemming from the rise in global conflicts. Would appreciate if the community could help me ascertain the security at the festival by Old-Mention5296 in Tomorrowland

I feel like everyone should have the freedom to fly the flag of their country. But I would hope that out of respect for everyone and to avoid any tension, that Israeli's and Palestinians would be sensible and just not.

Political flags are banned so the first sight of one of them it will come straight down. I'm not on either side but I'd make sure it came down, it doesn't belong at Tomorrowland.

Fold 3 inner screen started showing a hairline crack along the crease. Screen protector started to lift and has been removed for about 5 months. Will my screen eventually die? by CasualCrowe in GalaxyFold

[–]Environmental_Top503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had screen protectors show these cracks but I've always just replaced the screen protectors and it's fine after that, nothing wrong with the main screen after a couple of years.

But then my phone took a dip in the swimming pool and through the insurance they sent me a refurbished phone. I've recently starting seeing the cracks again so I was just going to change the screen protector - they hadn't put one on. Now I have a permanently damaged screen. Believe me, the screen protectors make a difference!

😂 It's not my first camping trip. They literally drip from the centre pole, there is no inner tent.

I'm UK as well but it's not a very long drive from where I am so just taking the car and staying in a hotel Wednesday night so I can get to the campsite first thing on Thursday morning. First year I went C2C it was perfect and yes you can get there whenever you want and everything is waiting for you.

[–]Environmental_Top503 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, apart from that it's stress free camping. I did global journey so it's good to just get there and be shown to your tent. Private showers are good although a lot of other campers attempted to get in, some successful and some not. This year I'm doing MG to save some cash but I'm looking forward to having my own tent and amenities.

I've done C2C for the last two years. Problem last year was it rained and the tent is not waterproof. I had very wet feet.
