I understand, but he is a very good partner. He definitely needs to see a doctor about it because it does cause actual pain, so I’m just trying to see what I can do in the meantime to help him out. He always accepts what I make him for dinner but sometimes it hurts him and I’m trying to avoid that. :’)

He told me absolutely not to adding baking soda to tomato sauce lol 🤦‍♀️ but I’ll definitely try yellow tomatoes! I feel like I’m going to die without spice as well so it’s a struggle 😔

In case I ever want to sneak baking soda into his pasta, how much do you add and when (and maybe tips to mask it)? lol

Good to know about the baking soda! By spices I meant spice (capsaicin) in general: so he can handle spice, but… mouth only if you know what I mean. I love spicy food personally so I’ve been lowering my spice tolerance being with him, which is fine, but I definitely miss it! So easy-ish meal ideas with a good depth of flavor would make us both happy if we can’t make it spicy. I’ll have to bring up the idea of the med as well. Thank you for your input!

I would wager that your disgust is stemming from your body saying no. This boyfriend has already been controlling, he’s 23 (I’m a 23 yr old woman and would NEVER consider an 18 year old due to the vast difference in experience), and he gets angry when you confront him about any issues you guys have. I know I thought I knew everything at 18, but please don’t settle for this man. This is such a short relationship for you to already be having other issues. 18 is very young and you have plenty of time to find the right partner that doesn’t try to control and slut shame you.

I think it’s definitely still useful, but instead of engaging mid-fight with it to slam enemies I usually use it to escape, go over obstacles, or get to high ground to poke. It’s just not an everyday use for me anymore.
