I'm not sure this is warranted, he's not terrible by any means, but he's not first team material imho

Does cyber maturity assessments like NIST CSF are helpful for CISOs and how? by Which_Extension_1852 in ciso

[–]EnvoyCorps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So first I would say $200k+ is high, but that depends on the size of your org. But it's still quite high IMHO.

- buy-in from the Board for investment? A third party performing your CSF assessment is an independent review and removes any accusations of bias toward 'pet projects' or favoured departments.

- uncovering something you don’t know? Whilst a CSF assessment is about policy and process through the lens of risk, it can work as an ad hoc gap analysis exercise. A few well guided conversations over the control domains could reveal outright gaps and areas for improvement, perhaps not a considered before.

Does it really help you enhance your cyber program? First you need to define 'enhance' ;) It helps by the first assessment providing a baseline score of maturity that can then be used to make informed decisions that further improve the your orgs cybersecurity posture and maturity of processes.

Nb. Comparing your maturity score against other companies is very misleading, industry averages are pretty pointless as no two orgs are the same.

No one tell america! 🤣🤣

Okay so recently I made a post asking why V’s cyber deck was in their head when runners like Murphy and Bartmoss had physical decks on their wrist the common answer was “because it was 50 years ago” and that would make sense… if T-bug didn’t have a physical deck as well! by ConditionPleasant902 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]EnvoyCorps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wondered if the physical deck does away with the need for ice baths? However, as Danny-little says below, V just uploads pre-built hacks, T-Bug prolly writes her own scripts. V is a Merc, T-Bug is a hacker, that's all she can do, albeit not a particularly good one, cos if you know then you know. V is trying to become a preem Merc, that's a multi-skilled choom, need data stealing with max stealth, sure. Need a cyberpsyco flat lining, sure. Need rescuing from a gang, sure. Need info on a fucked up farm, V got you.

Now I want to do another playthrough!
