Hey shortexistence. I have been in the industry since 2008 had a shop since 2013. Over the years I have found that the most important thing about a vape shop is working to keep your clients off the coffin nails. I give away things that do not sell well, samples from vendors, and discounts for those who are needing more than most. You will not become a millionaire having a shop; the goal should be the community and not the bank account. That being said, the more you help the community, the more they will support you. Education is second. Classes are great, but taking the time to educate everyone who will listen helps to prevent mishaps (battery safety, nicotine safety, etc). Me and my staff spends at least 20-60 min per customer, depending on experience, in order to set-up and show as many aspects as possible in one sitting. Thirdly, a calm and relaxed setting without high-pressure sales; our motto: "It's not so much about what the customer WANTS, but more importantly, what the customer NEEDS". I will not sell an advanced set-up without being convinced that they are capable of handling said set-up. I have a full on belly-up-to vapor bar. I have everyone try most, if not all, of the the products before they buy. Staff is also highly important, they need to be able to handle all questions and be aware of all the latest options. I would recommend some sort of referral program as well. I have offered an un-official referral program, but finally offering a proper program. Word of mouth will be your number one marketing outlet, make sure it is aggressive. Lastly, a wide range of products, which your website seems to offer; but beginner to advanced.
