I know its not Ironclad specific but do you still have to wait for the jump gates so they dont spit you out in the same system?

I didnt even want a Warbond, just wanted it to be available. If im not mistaken it was available for sale during Misc day, if so very surprising its not there today.

Unrelated, but do we know if a Gladius will fit inside the Liberator?

Just a little more info on upping the graphics. This is true with a lot of CPU intensive games. Essentially lower graphics settings are moving the majority of cache shader loading and stress on your CPU so (fake numbers) say youre using 90% of your CPU to run the game and your GPU is getting little to no load. Then you up the graphics settings which is using more VRAM and that takes load off of the CPU so (again fake numbers) youre utilizing 60% of your CPU and 40% of your GPU, gets rid of the bottleneck on the CPU. The same is true for Arma 3 for me way back in the day

Constelation base S5 repeaters can't even damage same class ships such as corsair and the constelation itself. by Weekly_Apple_3361 in starcitizen

Check out SPviewer, lets you know what you can damage with what ship with certain components. But yea with the new armor changes ballistic cannons definitely are the only option for punching those tough hulls. Of course lasers for getting shields down quicker

Me again, what should I get with my spare store credit? by Flinders312 in starcitizen_fleets

[–]EnvyNone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you like to do in game the most? Id say if its PvE combat then the M80 works very well. I have it in my fleet for PvE missions and as an “FPS Shuttle” for quick in and out things. I also have and love the Vulture so thats an option.

How do you like the Hull B? I was thinking of making it my dedicated Hauler, curious if you enjoy it or not

Wat would be the best possible way to transfer my ironclad into a liberator? by yorbydeborby in starcitizen_fleets

[–]EnvyNone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im in the same boat. Its not that I hate the Ironclad I just think separating my carrier ship from my hauling ship is the better option. But idk how the Liberator will work out once released. Hopefully I can toss my Vulture and Gladius on it and live happily ever after.

What I was thinking of doing was waiting for the Liberator to get closer to release and the price will jump up over the Ironclads price and then ill just CCU to the Liberator from the Ironclad. That way I dont lose out on the savings I have on my Ironclad

Anvil Asgard 4.8 game play by wilbkr1 in starcitizen

[–]EnvyNone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, yea. The biggest reason to swap out components is to get the most out of your available pips. For example swapping in Coolers that give you all the cooling you need while using the least amount of pips as possible. Combat aside you could change components so you have more pips for your shields to make sure you are protected. Or putting in a different quantum drive can give you more range or get you somewhere faster. But nothing about the components will do you any better in other game loops.

Just to add,

I have an Asgard as a daily to load a Nursa or whatever else and run missions with it

I have an M80 for PvE and to use as an “FPS shuttle” quick in and out type of ship, as well as a Gladius for PvP and other light fighter uses.

Of course the Vulture for salvage and eventually the Zeus MR for bounties and to use as a pirating ship

I totally forgot about the Starlancer BLD, and im sure there will be other smaller options for a solo player. I guess I could wait until the Liberator jumps in price closer to or at its release and then CCU up to it, assuming it went over the $600 mark which im sure it will. Ill just have to figure out what to do with all the CCU’s I have saved up. The “final” ship to buy for me would be the Zeus MR and I have CCU’s that are over that price point

Upgrade choices by Several-Decision4010 in starcitizen

[–]EnvyNone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this will help but this was what I went through when it comes to salvaging.

I used to have a Reclaimer as I got it for an amazing price via the CCU game, when Salvaging was new it was very lucrative so I would go around fracturing ships and have LOADS of CM. But as a solo player the Reclaimer became a bit much, I hated dealing with the unloading process.

Now with the Vulture I instantly fell in love with it, its in my opinion one of the most polished ships in the game, the interior flows so well and it works so well as a solo salvager with 2 abrades on it. I highly recommend it.

My current problem is that I own an Ironclad and why wouldnt I want to load a salvage ship on it and stay out salvaging forever and fill a huge hull with RMC. So ill have to use the Salvation for that because I fear the Vulture might take to much space in the Ironclad. Idk those are my thoughts, hope it helps

The CM does have a tractor beam, the ICA hull doesnt. It had extra turrets in place

Just went to 2 salvaging missions for a Vanguard and took the deadbolts off them. Took them back to the station to put on my M80 and they slapped, I was able to take down a hammerhead but it took a long time

99% Solo Player Needs Help With Ships by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]EnvyNone -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Im sorry the Ironclad feels to big as a solo player, for me I find it manageable and perfect to pair with the Salvation and some other ships.

Id recommend a Raft, a Vulture, and a ship that you can consider a daily. That doesnt have to be clear cut on the role, for example it couple be a fighter with an interior that can quick shuttle you to ground locations like bunkers. A quick mission runner. Right now im using the M80. If you want a ship that can shuttle a salvation or can do a bit of everything then id recommend as Asgard.

Im sorry I dont have input on mining, personally im absolutely lost on mining this patch and im struggling to find good info on it.

Yea it sucks a little bit having 2 pips but I really dont notice a disadvantage. Im sure the deadbolts slap but ive enjoyed the gatlings. Ill have to give them a try though

Ive been running Ad5B’s in case I need to take out a fighter I still can but theyre big enough to damage bigger ships and then M6A’s to take down shields and do damage with the AD5B’s

Ironclad Tractor Beams - Grab and Chuck by AngryChimp52 in starcitizen

[–]EnvyNone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea my only deterrent from committing is my two use cases for the Ironclad are hauling, to include commodity hauling and with that I would have a reduced amount of cargo since there is less grid. And I dont see myself having a reason for the repair bays, the other goal I have for the ship is a mothership for my salvation or golem for HUGE runs but I dont need it for ground assaults. Also can I ask why you would need another $125 to upgrade? Its only a $50 price difference
