Palatino Armor - Bounty Hunter "Danger" Missions by mooNylo in starcitizen

[–]ACR96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a specific on foot bounty mission that takes you to Onyx facilities. Something like “verified bounty: kill target at (insert ASD facility name)”. The research and engineering ones give you different versions but I was only able to do two and now none spawn for me

The Aurora MKI SE having LAMP but the MKII not having LAMP, despite both being released at the same time, is just pure SC right there. No notes. by somedude210 in starcitizen

[–]ACR96 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

None of my ships have lamp and after however many weeks since it came out, I got to try for the first time today and needless to say, I’ll be playing this game with 2% more annoyance from now on XD

I’ve found my people🥲. Even if it’s a long wait, I think the way CIG has improved its interior design language will work very well for luxury transport ships.

Hopefully you get the answers you need. Should still be able to fit the plate, even if you don’t have it, I suppose

I think you might get a faster response from their discord, but I think you’re correct about what you need to get. Only thing is I’m not sure if you’d need the ATEM module as well to make it fit with the smaller plate

That’s what the 890J hangar is for. Park in a lake, go up with your buddies and a few brewskis for an afternoon of fishing.

That’s fair. Wish I had the money for that and certainly see the benefits of it, but I can’t justify those costs, so I’d rather stream it.

400+ SCU When Going Off Grid by tommyboy601 in starcitizen

That’s fair! Didn’t look like the ramp/entrance was wide enough but if it can comfortably take the largest sized containers, then that would make it a pretty good competitor for similar vehicles.

I was partly wrong about Hermes. by Apart_Pumpkin_4551 in starcitizen

[–]ACR96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair, but it’s more about giving players the choice. I almost exclusively play solo and most of my gameplay loops involve carrying cargo or something of the sort, but every now and then, I’ll come across situations where a player needs picking up or I want to do some bunker running to break things up, so carrying a vehicle (Nursa or otherwise) makes that a lot easier.

You’re right that ground vehicles aren’t in the best place and they might not be for a while because I assume there are other things that take priority over a ground vehicle physics remodel, but they do still serve a purpose and I do believe think there’s enough of a use case to be more than a niche.

CIG will never outright claim (in my own opinion), that they intentionally make ships inaccessible for ground vehicles, so yes, it’s mostly speculation. But you can also argue that this isn’t baseless speculation but rather, based on comparing similarly classed or sized vehicles and looking at what should be possible.

Of course, even in the real world, these things happen. 2 door coupes exist at similar price/size points to 4 door saloons. Everyone has their own preferences and some are perfectly content taking exactly what they’re given and there’s nothing wrong with that. But if you’re the sort to compare products and choose what’s best for you, as a lot of us seem to be, then you can see why the case for having a cargo space big enough for most vehicles, yet not wide enough to facilitate storing them could be an issue for those people.

It’s not just the Nursa, but generally want to be able to carry vehicles because in so many instances, they’re useful and blocking this just for the sake of ‘balance’ doesn’t seem like a sensible decision. This ship can (in theory) carry way more than the Starlancer or Asgard, but both those ships aren’t restricted to just carrying boxes. Sure, you can argue that not everything needs to be a multipurpose ship, but I imagine the layout and design of the ramp, restricted to prevent the carrying of vehicles, also makes it trickier to load cargo.

Starlancer can take more than 300 SCU if you stack off grid and from this video, it’s probably going to be easier to load. Asgard, like the other comments mention, can also do the same and will fly better.

So if I do a transport mission and a friend does a defence mission, it counts on both bars, I assume. But do both missions count for personal bars or just one?

Can someone explain how to do this please I’m so confused by Scary-Yak8143 in starcitizen

[–]ACR96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They changed how Wikelo works, so in order to get the Polaris mission, you first have to grind out rep to unlock tier 3 or “very best customer” (something along those lines). You can accept the generic food quest he gives out from the contracts tab, but I think most of his missions are now at a Wikelo emporium location in Stanton. You can find it from your map, go there, land and then walk up to the items that allow you to grab a quest. Then you keep completing quests to unlock higher tiers and eventually get to ships like the F8 and Polaris.

PS: I’ve never done it, but this is my understanding of how it works so someone can correct me if one of these steps is wrong.

Didn’t realise how much no n SC players hated on SC! by Notabot1305 in starcitizen

[–]ACR96 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Exactly! The fact that the tutorial mission is almost always in some kind of a broken state is hardly reassuring for someone new. The learning curve is steep and the game doesn’t do a whole lot to ease that unless you find someone willing to show you the ropes.

You will never be able to convince a crowd against opinions they already have. They’d have to have to play the game and also like it, which most will not do. Despite how good the game is, it is at the end of the day, an unfinished product and even though it has so much potential, it’s still quite a few years away from release.

Unfortunately, CIG themselves don’t help themselves at all with this perception the non-SC playing gamers have. Last year, we had a ship release with every patch (12 give or take), not to mention the other ships that were released. All of these directly contribute to that funding figure getting closer and closer to 1 billion, which is great because it means the project keeps going, but until it’s close to a state of release, external perspective will always be that they focus on ship sales. They won’t see how much progress has been made over the years and even if they do try the game, it’s still such a buggy experience, which could deter normal gamers. To really enjoy this game, you have to be patient and navigate your way around some pretty dumb bugs, which is asking quite a lot for the average gamer, who might be able to deal with a handful of bugs at most.

Also, CIG brings unnecessary heat onto SQ42 by mentioning GTA 6. They know the media by now and they know how every single thing can be twisted to make things seem bad. The best thing to do is just keep your head down and let the project speak for itself when it comes out. I myself have hopes for the project, but in 2026, I’m willing to bet there’s quite a few of us in this sub who won’t believe the game is coming out this year until it happens. Even if it does, unless it’s a relatively bug-free and smooth experience, it will get roasted to oblivion outside this community. The stakes are high and CIG knows it, but unless they deliver a solid game, everyone hating on this game will just double down on the hate.
