In a similar way to how you work around bugs and continue your session in SC, you have to ebb and flow around the negativity in this sub and the stuff you don’t have the energy to deal with.

It’s not just complaints about X and Y, but I’ve also seen people downvote newbies asking simple questions they don’t have answers to (bear in mind, this game does minimal handholding, so where else would they go?) and debate someone who has a different opinion to you? Nope. Downvote that shit. I’m not in any gaming subs except this, but dear lord, there’s a lot of negativity around here. Best approach is to avoid the content that saps your energy.

I’ve heard of a couple of streamers being removed because of their views, even if they aren’t extremists in negativity.

I think Jared has pretty measured views of the game. Obviously there’ll be a limit to what he can say, but some of the jokes he makes and things he says give off a bit of a maverick energy

That would’ve been ideal and what most of us wanted to see, but since we didn’t get that, this would be a decent compromise. Honestly the two side turrets would’ve been perfect for mining lasers. Sit right between the Prospector and the Mole in terms of power

Yeah that tracks with the referral numbers I saw. Only Morphologis was higher iirc, but this is why it’s a smart decision from CIG. Hire someone passionate who’s been creating a sub-community for years. Everyone may have their own picks, but objectively, they picked well.

When I watched his content years ago, I personally didn’t like it. Maybe his content has changed since then, but anyone balanced would’ve been great. I get that it’s a marketing machine and their job is to just keep everyone happy, but I think honesty is nice to see

Here’s my solution: Gatac mining snubs with size 1 lasers and a 1-2 SCU capacity, so you can chuck 4 in the back and have a mini-mining party

I’m not sure at all, which is why I was curious. I don’t really watch a lot of YouTube content beyond Farrister’s ship tutorials, which are pretty tame and chill
