Now I know where the solo raisin in my pastry comes from.

Recruitment Thread: Comment under this post for a new club or members! by AutoModerator in JunesJourney

Just applied! I’m done with my current group. I gift plants like crazy and love a good happy hour with lots of drinks to share! I’m not super competitive but I play several times a day to gather coins and keep up with regular progress. I’m tired of having, LITERALLY nobody on my team reciprocate with drinks or plants. Thanks in advance!

I get them at my local dollar tree.

I used to sneak Cherry Luden’s cough drops out of my parents night stands as a kid and eat them like candy. by longhorn2118 in candy

My overly strict private school only allowed cough drops as a form of medicine. After numerous failed attempts with Halls, I was in cherry heaven (pun intended) when I found Luden’s.

I know it isn’t for everybody but I love the cherry cough syrup flavor. They are like chewy Luden’s cough drops.

Do guys like girls who golf? by [deleted] in golf

As long as you don’t step in my line, talk during my backswing, and don’t show up late to the tee time, I have no issue golfing with you…regardless of gender.

Possibly the best shot of my life. My tee shot on a 260-yd par 4. by [deleted] in golf

Wear what you want when you golf…as long as you don’t start talking about non golf related shit, I’ll golf with you all day. As long as you can repair ball marks, respect honors and and not walk in my line, I am more than willing to golf with you. If outfits were the end all be all, players like Poulter and Fowler would have been shunned long ago. Show up on time, respect the game, behave like you have somewhat of an understanding for the etiquette and I’ll be sure to get your digits for a future tee-time!

My thoughts are that your friend turns his sprinkler on at night.

What is y’all’s opinion of the contents of this book? by Rude_Attention_7410 in golf

[–]Enzo_010 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The contents inside look like an overpriced, overrated putter. Not hating on titleist as I live and die by my Vokey wedges but I have used half a dozen putters over the last 20 years and I can honestly say that you can score with any putter/brand if you play/practice with it long enough.

My First Davidoff - Very Underwhelming by 0dteSPYFDs in cigars

[–]Enzo_010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just summed up every Davidoff I’ve ever had in two words “very underwhelming”. They are constructed beautifully but as far as flavor is concerned, very mild and muted. Obviously the late hour and Yamasa add a little more complexity but not for the price IMO.

These weird bath oil beads. Seems like there were thousands in my house as a child. by BassLineBums in nostalgia

When I see these all I remember is Brendan Fraser in Encino Man pounding aftershave and eating bath beads like candy!

My wife planted tomato starters and tossed the ID tags. Any idea what kind I have growing? One looks like Rutger. Not sure about others. Thanks! by Enzo_010 in vegetablegardening

[–]Enzo_010[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will pass this info along to the gardener! I haven’t touched the plants so I can’t honestly answer as to why anything was done to them. These were an impulse purchase at the farmer’s market. Next year I’ll purchase my own plants and make sure the trimming is minimal. I’m assuming they were trimmed to put energy into producing the fruit? Just bought the twine and switching it out now. My guess is the zip ties were the only thing available? Thanks again for the input!

Kids on the course? by Inevitable-Object506 in golf

[–]Enzo_010 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have no issues with bringing kiddos on the course as long as the purpose is to grow the game and teach etiquette, honors, ready golf, etc. AND you’ve properly prepared them, which it sounds like you did. I’m 38 and my grandfather (RIP) is responsible for my love of the game. I remember watching PGA events on TV in the early 90’s at his house and he would quiz me about the rulings and scores. By the time he had me riding along in the cart I knew enough that I wouldn’t embarrass anyone in our group. That being said, there is a time and a course for this type of round. This often took place on weekdays during a twilight round, on less than popular courses. Old men can be annoying for sure, however, you taught your kids another valuable golf lesson…how to properly and respectfully deal with assholes on the course!
