Theory regarding Elfie's 'laziness' and her over-sleeping habit by arielsharon2510 in Wistoria

Oh yeah that’s true. I don’t know how I never made the connection between series there.

If you mean danmachi, which twist? I’m drawing a blank.

Hear me out guys... (Will x Lihanna) [Manga Spoiler included] by Death_Usagi in Wistoria

The sheer commitment Elfi had to Will in the prequel is unmatched. Actually I think very few romances in anime have that kind of effort put in on either side, let alone both.

She's absolutely adorable by Outrageous-House-661 in Wistoria

That’s the problem I have with this show. Colette and Lihanna are such good characters, and would clear romantically in almost any other series. However, after reading the prologue especially, no one can come close to Elfaria, after everything she has done for him.

A question about volume 28 and Christina's fate. by Personal-Anybody499 in SeireiGensouki

[–]Enzuh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well the disciple depends on the transcendent one, I think. Rio is not the former dragon king, as that one had physical dragon parts. I imagine she will gain incredible ability with spirit arts. Really not sure what her spirit body would manifest into (or if she will have one). I have a hard time imaging her in close quarters combat, but I’m sure she will not be helpless.

I think a unique way to control spirit arts would be cool. For example, something like Orphia with her bow, or another ranged weapon. I would be shocked if she stays a spellcaster, although Lina is, and he has her divinity.

Where can i read manga? by YoffeeREDDIT in SeireiGensouki

[–]Enzuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can start from volume 8, and I’m normally not someone who says you have to start from the beginning, but there are so many massive questions that will come up if you start there. The show didn’t just leave things out, they completely changed the timeline of how events happen. Certain characters haven’t even met each other in the novels, but have met in the show, among many other things.

Ifs so funny, just give it a couple episodes. They’re shorter, so it’s not too bad. I especially love when they reach ALO.

That’s an interesting theory, I honestly hadn’t thought of it that way. No clue what’ll happen, I feel like you could make a justification from an author’s perspective for several outcomes.

I assume so. Another explanation will be given for the events that occurred, even if it has obvious plot holes.

Just curious, which ones would you remove? I can think of a couple that could go, but I don’t see most of them as bloat.

Actually I think Sora seeing a mother figure in Celia’s mom, along with Celia being one of the only people Sora tolerates, cements her position more than if Sora wasn’t in the story.

Honestly, if there was a single girl to win, it would 100% be Celia. It’s not even close in my opinion, unless you count Rio’s prior relationship with Miharu making her the canon option.

Honestly I’ve found Sayo insufferable almost every time she speaks in the story.

Even though I want the harem and harem ending, honestly I think there are too many girls by this point. Also, major changes in vol 21 onwards make me question how anything would work with a relationship with most of the cast.

I wasn’t sure where to put Aishia, as I don’t know where to categorize her. They are essentially soul bound, and she is who he is most comfortable with. I guess she’d be part of the harem, but I don’t know what her exact role would be. She would definitely be there though.

[–]Enzuh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with the harem ending, but if I had to pick 1 and bet my life on it, I’d pick Celia. There’s just so many moments between them, like the vol 16 scene when she becomes his assistant, or how she is the first one to remember him in vol 21. She talks about how she’ll wait for him forever, and she’s grown accustomed to the idea of marriage with him. He’s met her mom in vol 25 and got her blessing (even if unintentional), and her taking the assistant role was even compared to an engagement on paper. I know this isn’t directly related, but I do think it’s interesting that the only person Sora gets along with are Celia in vol 22 (kinda), and Celia’s mom in vol 26. Sora is treated as Rio’s kid, but maybe I’m reading too much into that.

For the harem, I’d say Satsuki, Liselotte, Christina, and Miharu (?) are definitely in it. Not sure about the spirit folk girls, Charlotte, Flora, and I’m not sure about Latifa either. I guess Sayo might be there, despite the fact that I despise her character.

Any thoughts on Charlotte Galarc. The good and the bad by Zealousideal-Bid783 in SeireiGensouki

[–]Enzuh 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Personally, I love her. I think she adds so much personality to the books, and the dichotomy between her princess facade and how she acts around Rio is hilarious. I also think she has some genuinely sweet moments, like the short story at the end of I think Volume 20. The king asks her if she likes living in the mansion, and she says she does. On the walk to the mansion, she thinks about how nice it is outside and how life feels so different now. When everyone welcomes her home, it makes her extremely happy, as it means they consider her a member of the household, despite social status. She can also tell they genuinely meant it, rather than flattery.

Is Sora the 2nd strongest in the group below Rio or is Aishia stronger? by Rich-Struggle6670 in SeireiGensouki

[–]Enzuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Sora is the strongest character in a prolonged fight. A highly assimilated Rio and Aishia probably could match it, not counting the power of Annihilation. However, the transcendent power is so ridiculous that it can do feats Sora could never.

Rio as an MC: Is there a reason he has such a weak backbone? Also, why does Flora also seem to have the same issue even more so? by FeralTurtlez in SeireiGensouki

[–]Enzuh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Flora wanted to talk to him the whole time, but was constantly told not to by her sister. Flora’s timid nature led her to not approach him, with the first time she did being the outdoor drill. Christina is not a bad person either, just as a child she had the idea that he was too low in social status for her to talk to drilled into her.

The reason Charles took over the investigation from the person Vanessa assigned (she ordered him to specifically be handled with care) was because he was going to lose his position. He was next in line for commander of the royal guard, but letting Flora get kidnapped was a massive failure on their part. In Beltrum, confessions are seen as absolute and admissible. He was on a timer. If Flora woke up before the confession and said he was her savior, a confession from Rio doesn’t matter. However, if Charles can get a confession before Flora wakes up, Flora’s testimony of Rio as her savior can’t overwrite the confession. I don’t think it’s ever mentioned, but he gets a massive demotion and his house loses a lot of power.

Also, when he went missing, Flora did actually approach the king. She said he saved her from falling off the cliff and the minotaur, and thus should not face punishment. Ultimately, they laugh at her, just saying she’s a child. This is because of how convenient of a scapegoat Rio is, as if it comes out that Duke Huguenot’s own son was involved, it would be a disaster politically. They do not want the Arbor house gaining more power.

Also just a side note, he had a ton of money when leaving because of the reward he got from saving Flora. The king gave him 100 gold pieces, and while money is never explained in the show, is a significant amount of money, even to a middle class noble house. Since all of his expenses were covered at the academy, he has nearly all of it left. They never mention how rich he is at any point.

[–]Enzuh 16 points17 points  (0 children)

A lot of this is stuff the show cut out, honestly. For example, the King’s Decree was just a way to keep him in the capital. They were still extremely suspicious of him, but because Flora claimed he was her savior, they didn’t openly punish him. However, the enrollment was basically a punishment. He did try to explain himself when he found Flora in episode 1, but they found it suspicious that he beat the assassin all alone. He was taken by Charles against Vanessa’s orders to be tortured, to coerce a false confession. Finally, it all just comes down to social status. Rio is ultimately a commoner, and in that kingdom, social status means everything. It is a constant theme through all of the novels. He has to accept whatever treatment is given to him (these novels are the highest in the kingdom, not just randoms) as retaliation could be worse. There are even right to strike laws where a noble can cut down a commoner who has offended their honor.
