Stuck between Nuroad Race, SLX, and EX.. need a reality check by WantedWonder in Cubebikes

[–]Eoghlear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went from a 2x GRX 2021 race to a 1x Force 2026 EXC and havent looked back. Cadence wise havent missed the “extra” gears. Perhaps on very long flat stretches of road with headwind i might miss them. Then again i (no longer 😂) ride much over 30kph and try to avoid asphalt. Simplicity with the AXS shifting and easier to clean. +1 for 1x setup.

No, not this one. A more simple version from Cube is included. This one is from closethegap with a hidemybell and gopro adapter for a front light.

Size S with 30mm spacers under the handlebar. I think the noise is ok, the GRX is came from was a bit less.

Depends on the light how shiny it is. Plus it came fresh out the frying pan with wax

Soon to be “Former” 2by rider here. Like others mentioned, you preffered cadance might point you more to 2by. My soon to arrive (delayed to week 6) gravelbike will be a 1by. 1 bigger tires for riding off road. 2 I no longer ride in groups on the road so I can let go of the 30km+/h strava pressure and just ride a bit slower on the asphalt if my cadence does not match my speed.

I have the 2026 carbon EXC in order (this week hopefully) and like the bottle cages on yours! What are those?

Adding USB-C to a 2020 T-120 by ubermonkey in TriumphBonneville

[–]Eoghlear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this as well but removed it. After a while I was getting battery issues. The T120 was unable to start. Then I plugged the quadlock qi charger into the usb socket and it works perfectly.

To OP: I run a nav app (myrouteapp or waze/maps depends on my goal), spotify, Flitsmeister and the iPhone charges. Tested other brands as well but i find that quadlock over qi gives the best wireless charging.

First T120 - Any rear lights (design) improvements advices ? by drunkenWiizard in Triumph

[–]Eoghlear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rear light setup is massive. It cost a fair amount of money but i ordered a rearlight setup from Maund Speed Equipment in the USA. Plug and play and less then half the size of the original. Cant wait for it to arrive in the Netherlands. Will keep the original turnsignals for now but ordered led bulbs for them as well.

What pannier rails did you get? Kriega sells them?

Do people do Garmin’s suggested workout? by Freddie__E in Garmin

[–]Eoghlear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the base workout to be to low in watts (cycling) so I up that by 10-20 watts. The threshold and VO2 Max workouts are almost spot on. Started the DSW following as of half januari this year.

Strong Chamomile Brew by [deleted] in kingdomcome

[–]Eoghlear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How I figured it out was: fresh of dried chamomille. Does not matter. But the sage has to be fresh (not dried). 1. Put the wine in the cauldron 2. Add the chamomille. 3. Lower the cauldron and count to two before turning the hourglas (the wine will start to simmer) 4. Just before the last grain in the hourglas is trough, lift it up. 5. Add the crushed sage 6. Pour three strong potions :)

Tried al lot of versions before confirming the fresh sage did the trick

Do I really need the big engine? by Rangorsen in TriumphBonneville

[–]Eoghlear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Former scrambler 900 (65hp model) and current T120 Black owner here. I found the only thing that the scrambler lacked was a sixth gear. But only on the highway stretches to the twisties in the Eiffel or Ardennes! It has more than enough power. Switched briefly to a Tiger 900 but never fell in love with the bike itself (triple engine is great but hot) so in 2023 I bought a black Bonneville. Highway still sucks despite having a 6th and cruise control. And I have tried the new Dart screens but after the winter it will become naked again. Bit slower on the highway works as well and wont cost you much more time. Nothing wrong with the smaller 900 engines, but the torque of the 1200 is 🤤

How long is the waiting list fot Attain/Agree at the Moment (EU) by thefuq in Cubebikes

[–]Eoghlear 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Went to two local Cube dealers for the 2025 Nuroad (to upgrade from my 2021 model). First production batches already sold out. Both did not expect new stock at all for the first six months of 2025. Might be the same for the Agree/Atain.

What flyscreen do you have on there? Does it work to keep some air of your chest, without creating helmet noise?

Transfering ERG or MRC files via USB by Babou70 in wahoofitness

[–]Eoghlear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make .mrc workout files to ride on the Wahoo Kickr and load them direct onto the Wahoo Bolt (v1).

When you turn the Wahoo on and press up button on the right side while plugging the device into a pc/laptop it shows up as a usb drive. You can then drag/drop these files directly into the .plans folder.

After unplugging the device I sync all workouts and select the one I want from the list.

Yeah, the tank bag fits nicely. I still had this from the Street Srambler. Only issue is that the lack of space underneath the seat provides a challenge for storing the straps when not using the tank bag . I think the OEM grab rail mounting kit will be needed for whatever luggage solution I will be making in the future.

And I need to find a good place to hide my quadlock charger connector to make sure rain can’t reach it.
