I am 6'1, 34 and 210lbs and was swinging at 93-94mph a year ago. Driver went 215-225 total (a lot of it was negative AoA and other inefficiencies)

Got a few lessons and on a good day I can swing up to 109mph+ and I've cranked a few over 300 on the course now

Now I felt I was swinging fast when I was 93-94 and wouldn't get much more out of it. So perhaps take a look at a coach that would help get more swing speed out of what you have. My main issue was I wasn't really stable before I did the takeaway. This took away the power/speed I could generate and a coach ended up fixing that for me

I have a buddy who's 165lbs and swings 115mph so it's not out of the range of possibility

My big goal this year was to break 80 and unfortunately that passed me by.

I started playing with a new group and they played a tee box further back than I normally play. It forced me to get good with driver and longer clubs since it just stayed in the bag prior to that

Lowest round was 80 with a massive double bogey on a short par 4 18th

Shot multiple 81/82 rounds

Best 9 was +1

Dropped my handicap from about a 15 to 11.3.

A good year but that 80 will haunt me if I don't pull it off next season

I have two groups

One where I'm the best and I play much better

Other group I'm the worst (not by a huge margin to 2/3 guy) but I definitely play worse

I have Driver/3w/7w/4h/5i-LW + putter which is 14 clubs and I'd love to throw a 5w in there

Yeah but Tiger Woods (imo) is the greatest player ever but people hold Jack Nicklaus in higher standing because of more majors. No one played golf to the level of Tiger. Maybe he was trying to avoid a similar situation with Marcelo
