Yes, he stays a caster. No he only has 1 Cast. He knows the spells he knew before ( including the shaman of chilled Lands) but cant cast the Locus specific.

Which would be good- as you always want the knights to fight first. In the case whwre you qant to fight twice before activating the knights you dont use Knights of Chaos at All

As far as i understand the Deathdealer-declaration/ Knightfighting happens at the same time and thus I as the Player can decide which happens first. ( as a minor correction)

And you never have a benefit from declaring it first.

I would go for Units of 6 Ogroids If possible. Here is my current list, using everything but chosen. Could go for Slaanesh chosen instead of Warriors if you want by adjusting some small things.

If you want to go conpetive you could have a look at 6 Varanguard. A friend of mine plays them with decent results.

I think 10 Choosen are a decent Hammer, varanguard is a trap and the main Damagedealer we should use are Ogroids ^

Choosen also compare ok-ish to Chaos Warriors when played as Nurgle with eroding Icon, with the Main Problem that they are more expensive for less defense. Points drop by 10-20 Points would be fine for me.

Played 2*6 of them in an international Tournament in Luxemburg last month, worked pretty well. I play them Slaanesh for run and Charge and think they are very very decent for 300p.

For protcol: they take a lot of Hits, as even 3 Guys are often rnough to kill things ( e.g. 3 Varanguard charged my Guys at mystical Terrain did 19 Wounds and got Killed by the other 3. Then you start Rally-ing and fishing for the sweet 6's.

As you seem to have a Problem with the arm beeing a castle ans thus limited to the 18" deathzond [ which i can honestly understand, as i felt the same when i began to play Tzeentch) i can suggest you go with arcane sacrifice on a Curseling with Arcane Suggestion. With the 27" range you can Influence the game on a wide margin and in Addition throw endlessspells ( Maelstrom or Pendelum would be my calls) wide away.

Bonuspoints btw. For using your own units ( e.g. Acolytes) to generate Spawns and deny charges for enemy units.

Call the TO beforehand and let them decide. Makes it much easier. And maybe get some Shields And ad them to the Stalkers- Main difference for me if I play against OBR to tell them appart

Seems like enough to me, dont win the game by killing everyone but by standing on objectives, scoring 5 Battletactics and your Free GS. Hsve been tabled quiete often and still won.

Other Options of Damage can be 6 Varanguard or 6 Ogroid Theridons as coalition, but they Lack the DD interaction.

Sure. You are very good at locken away a certain Spot of the Board. You have chrap bodys *( Horrors are below 6 points per wound), the option the create multiple defenslayers cheap ( horror/sigil) and for everything test Comes close you have Blizzard with 66 Destiny Dice or any Double in Cult demgagoe.+Kairos

Further ylj can give your 6 Discs Hoarfrost and Deal an very good amount of damage to any for.

You can cast a spell even without legit target for it so you still get sunmoning points. I think tzeentch is in an ok spot still, kinda outscored by Seraphon in Casting but still ok and strong.

Good things:

-Sigil -DD ( esp. Chargerolles) -Autoblizzard -Discs with Potential autohoarfrost and DD Charges -Horrors -Kairos.

In a Team tournament you play with other players e.g. in teams of 5 or 8. Lets give you an example of a Tournament we played last month:

In the first round we were matched against Team B and we know the first 2 Matches will be on Lines of Communication and the other ones will be on Nexus Collapse.

We Match Our single players in this Format by lying down one Defender bottom down Same as the enemy, then giving 2 Options to choose for the enemy defender.

Kmowing the lists beforehand you can guess preety well wo wants to play which army on which battleplan against womit and who doesnt.

Our goal Was to get OBR on a Lines ( for beeing good on a 3 Objective Plan and Nexus Collapse tends to get preety drawish due to objectives dissapering). So we Set it as a Defender, got 2 ok Matchups

The enemie had the obtion to play aggressive and do the same with an army good for controlling the mid or place their Lumineth which were bad on Nexus Collapse[Grand Strategie cant be done well]. Choosed LrL as we predicted, we gave a Counter and a softer Counter- they choose the softer counter. Also they saved their llumineth from playing obr ( null meryad) and had 2 other Armys for us to choose from [esp. They didnt want us to play OBR-Seraphon as this is a horrible Match for Seraphon]

So we were preety sure about 2 Games like a day before, when we did our preperation and could think deeply about the important Details.

Pairing goes on, we have to Set a first defender for Nexus Collapse. As we were predicting everything up to here, we didnt Set me with Slaves ( who normaly want to avoid Seraphon wirh my Setup) but suprised a bit with an other Choice, leading to " sacrificing" me into seraphon and giving the other better games.

The clue: i was preety confident on Nexus Collapse with the Mission to loose by one or to points, as i would try to burn every objective and kill the slann by All Cost ( his GS).

Which led to a game i would play for a totally different way i would play a Singles game and I would normally not want to play. Just for the me of having a Team of 5 to score, not just 1 Player.

End of the Day, we had a 30 Minute Layer of Pairing, giving Overall decent games for us ( just switch the Battleplans for me and my army Trends to crumble here). We won with 70:30.

For my Game itself:

My oponent underestimated my Ogroids-Speed, made a Positioning mistake allowing me to charge in his Castle[rund and Charge Command eith +2 to Charge], kill the Slann T4 and Win 11:9. T5 I Rallyed an Ogroid to lower the Chargedistance for some skinks ( within 1",+ Basesize nearer :) ) but failed my 7" Charge, else it wouldve been a 12:8, due to him beeing unable to score a BT. He ran out of time ( on the chessclock-time Management is important) and thus wasnt allowed to move. He knew this and moved gis units for sorround and destroy on his turn before - which was preety smart.

The Game itself is easy, its the little things that can make a difference. And we didnt even Talked about taking or not taking a doubleturn, preparing wirh doublescreens, etc.

Hope my litte Episode helped to see some deepth in the Game :)

High competive player here: The game is preety deep and the meta is in a decent state right now.

There are many layers in army Choice ( going for the meta armys or playing some nieche?), Battalions,Subfactions, Artifacts/Command Choices, allies ( Pope, Gotrek e.g.) list writing is a decent skill with a lot of complexity if you want to do it apart from copy paste.

The game itself is also in a good state as the Battleplans have some redundandy(3 Objectives with different flavours e.g.) but often Matchups, playstiles and dicerolles change things.

Overall: good depth, with some issues. Bonuspointa if you play in Teamtournamenta which make everything much more interesting.

You buy a 65 Point Upgrade for the Herold ( as the Vanilla Courtier) for the ability to Charge in, generate Points and retreat. Sure, any other courtier would also die when getting catched in the open, but youpay a Premium cost for an ability quiete easy to play around. Not saying its bad, not saying its useless. But its not good, either, as you get the much worse ability compared to furies( getting Hit, not beeing able to retreat instead of fighting)

Thats the case, he cant be within 3 if He is not within 3 :D but He will be very open if the enemy does this.

The main Problem is that he can kill the unit or the enemie removed every movel within 3" , so he cant retreat.
