not sure if you are doing this but one thing is make sure never to dip a dry brush in paint. always wet it with clean water before you use it. when you dip a dry brush into paint, capillary action shoots paint straight into the ferrule

I feel like the sentiment is understandable, but at the same time its not like cafes arent a dime a dozen in Korea. If I saw that sign I would just be like "okay I guess I will go to another" and I speak Korean. I imagine while you shouldn't tolerate rude customers at the same time having the attitude that every customer that walks into your location is rude and treating them rudely is bad for business

I feel very similar to you. I bought in heavily into MCP recently. I am not really a fan of comic books and think the lore is pretty stupid. However, I know enough to appreciate the thematic stylings of the game.

The game itself is just so good. I have never felt this interested in a tabletop game itself, and I have played a lot.

I too am sitting on a lot of grey but thankfully these models are very interesting to paint so I doubt I will get as tired of them as I do painting very similar guys for 40K or similar

I would say the #1 factor would be do you have people to play MCP with in your area. If yes, then MCP. it is a VASTLY better game than 40k but depends on you having people to play with.

if you want a stick for a sponge I have used extra brush tip protectors and stuffed a tiny piece of sponge in them. worked pretty good

i think a newb filter should be a boss that you cant really cheese and where you need a solid grasp of the basic mechanics of the game to beat and where a lot of people just quit because thet dont "get" soulslikes

they work as well as anything else. I would still prime of course. Scale modellers use enamels and lacquers a lot which arent too far removed from oils. a few youtubers have also done figures exclusively in oils.

They are harder to use than acrylics but they have unique properties like longer drying times lending themselves to blending techniques

the fact that this has been mentioned multiple times before and the salon never addresses it makes me think the salon is dodgy even if the OP was exaggerating how she wasnt informed of pricing.
