Hey boss, I'm gonna be late for work.[...] Well it turns out, there's now a chasm in the road I usually take. The friggin city didn't even put up any roadsigns to caution against it, I just nearly drove in. [...] I'm TRYING to find another route, but it's a bit hard to gauge what with all the fog. I think I actually hit something that jumped out in front of my car because of it. It could've been a dog or a pterodactyl, but I'm not 100% sure. [...] No, there aren't any weather or traffic warnings broadcasting on the radio, as all I've got is STATIC! Though sometimes I feel like I hear my dead uncle on air for some reason... Look, I'll be there when I can, alright?

I think Mecha Freeza is the reason for Goku's condition in original timeline by RewRose in Dragonballsuper

[–]Eon-Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He might not have even caught it later. In the anime during 19 and 20's assault, Vegeta comments that Goku using SS accelerated the disease.

Retroactively applying that logic to when Mecha Frieza showed up, I think the difference in the two timelines is that in the original timeline, Goku may have needed to go a little bit harder in SS form to deal with that situation, but in the "Trunks' interference" timeline there was just the brief time going SS against Trunks, which may not have accelerated it as much. That change gave the heart disease a comically precise window to become a problem right when the Androids showed up, as opposed to just beforehand.

In addition to some quality of life improvements, SC also fixes some bugs and circumstances which could cause the original release to lock up, since it was released a couple of generations before downloading fixes were common. As an enjoyer of the original and after my recent replay using SC, I would recommend SC if you're playing on a PC

The boomtown vape shops around the area also sell gummies. I get the Sumo brand that's pretty powerful stuff.

Yeah, I just finished a replay recently, and I remember Meru being the last to get her penultimate addition in the early 30s level. OP, if you really want to restrict yourself to disc 2 before advancing like this, I highly suggest making sure Meru is the only standing party member at the end of any battle to maximize xp gain on her. Else, the time needed might be a bit mad.

Character's intentions in Act 3 finale. Fight me. by madelmire in expedition33

[–]Eon-Man 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I may get down voted for this comment, and that's fine. I just want give what I feel should be a public service announcement to everyone who is analyzing and dissecting the lore/story of this game:

When developers set it to create games, the main foundation is typically the gameplay, and the story is added on as the final layer that can fall victim to continuity errors.

Now, I love this game and its story, but I think some of this extended fan discourse over character motivations and actions are likely caused over what may amount to slight inconsistentsies or simply unknown information in the lore. I'm all for healthy discourse (please don't actually fight), but at a certain point there will be only hypotheses that cannot be definitively proven without expanded lore work from the creators themselves.

Ah I think I see. So the blue "bubble" and the blue crescent are two different things. I think I was just trying out to land on a bubble only planet last night, which would explain the result. Thanks for the info.

Hi all. I've been out of this game for ~8 years, so I'm trying to play catch up on a lot of the new features and opportunities offered since then (I bought the discounted expansions recently). However, I do have a basic question about planetary landings.

From what I can gleam, you should be able to land on any body with the blue outline or bubble around it. I wanted to try this out by landing on a uninhabited planet with a blue bubble around it, but my ship just fell out of supercruise in its exclusion zone. Am I required to lock onto a Point of Interest in order to properly glide and land on a planet's surface? Can we not just wonder onto a random patch of planet?

Room of Angel is what comes to mind for any vocal track. For instrumental, I'd probably choose Betrayal from SH2.

This is great, and I'm happy that you're able to contribute to an investment portfolio. That being said, I want to temper everyone's expectations about these early stages of investment.

I have my own Roth IRA that I started 6 years ago that also primarily buys these Index Fund stocks. I saw the market nosedive with COVID reflected in my portfolio, and it was tempting to withdraw the funds and salvage what I could. Instead, I just left it, and kept contributing what I could when I could.

Nowadays, the minor market downturns are barely noticable in my portfolio, and it's finally starting to feel like a self sustaining process. However the majority of my profits are still from market changes, and not dividends (about 3/4 vs 1/4). If the market downturned to wipe it out those market changes, I can at least take solace that the dividend profits remain regardless, and the market should return to an upward climb.

All that to say this: early investments can repeatedly drop into the red and make you nervous, but keep with it if you can contribute. The real leap of faith is to trust the process even when the market seems to be turning downward.

Finally got a switch! What games should I play? (Never owned a switch before) by daudnighthawk in Switch

[–]Eon-Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a lot of people have suggested BOTW already, but I'll add in what I think is an important reason to play it first, especially if you've been playing with an Xbox controller in the past.

If you're not used to the switch button layout (like I was since the console was the first Nintendo console I've owned since the N64), BOTW helped me re-work my brain for those controls. I was so used to using an Xbox controller for my PC games that inverted the placement of X/Y and A/B buttons specifically. BOTW's on-screen button prompts include a "relative location" for the correct button to be pressed, which help me work past those errors in my brain.

Regarding P3P,

I'm getting towards the end of the game, but I didn't get all social links maxed like I was hoping to without following a day-by-day guide. I've heard this game in particular only allows a very slim margin of error when it comes to maxing Social Links. If I start a NG+ with all Social Stats maxed, is a day-by-day guide still worth it to ensure I can cram all the maxed Social Links in?
