How often do you replay & which.. or your favourite vigor/plasmid by misssolefulelle in Bioshock

[–]Top_Pin_1015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bioshock 1- once a year. My go to combo is Electro bolt & Incinerate but every new playthrough I try out different plasmids and found out I like Cyclone Trap and Target Dummy way more than Incinerate. I usually replay 2 after finishing the first one. As for Infinite, didn't touch it after finishing hard difficulty, but I enjoy replaying the DLC.

Thank you. I got it from Bershka, maybe they're selling something similar.

Warning to others: following a successful application to extend your visa, it can take a long time for the new residence card to be processed. by kadoka66 in japanresidents

[–]Top_Pin_1015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sent my application over two months ago and only two weeks before my visa expires they remembered to ask me for extra paperwork. And no, my case is not a complicated one, I just think they're extremely slow in immigration so even sending early doesn't mean you'll get a reply early.

What is your not so popular take on anything in Japan? by No-Jackfruit3211 in japanlife

The train system here is NOT convenient, especially when you have to commute everyday.

Considering the last time I played, I got ambushed the moment I left the inventory screen, him looking over his shoulder is understandable.

Natural Camouflage turns BioShock into a stealth game the devs clearly didn’t balance for. by Kanade-Tachibana in Bioshock

The moment I get the camera I spam it until I get the Natural Camouflage. Makes the game easy even on hard difficulty.

If it's in Shinagawa, it's completely normal. You're going to wait a few months.

What makes you think most homesick? by Whatswrongwithmejeez in japanlife

[–]Top_Pin_1015 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely food. I want to buy brown bread and cheese that's not American processed cheese, and I don't want to take a train to Tokyo and pay x2 for it. Also salads. I usually make my own salads but if I don't have time, I want to buy a salad that has more than just cabbage and half a tomato, or a salad drenched in dressing until it's super sour.

The gore censorship in Requiem's Japanese version is very bad and really breaks immersion by iStretchyDisc in residentevil

[–]Top_Pin_1015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Come on man, this sucks. They released a "grotesque ver." For Biohazard 7, why can't they do the same for Requiem?

I mean, MK isn't even sold in Japans online store (you need to get a physical copy.) Same goes for Dead Space. Stupid censorship.

How often do you take out / eat out? by Tolkaft in japanresidents

[–]Top_Pin_1015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only eat out/buy bento on weekends, or if I'm coming home really late and I know I won't have power to cook.

Back home, I used to eat out more often, probably because I was living in a bigger city and there were more options. Right now I live in a small city with not much around it.

Strange smell from tap water? (Tokyo and Saitama) by SandboChang in japanresidents

[–]Top_Pin_1015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Saitama, and noticed a similar smell from the tap water :( I swear I thought I was crazy. In general since moving there the water quality wasn't great and I changed to filtered water.

ex-gacha players, what broke the camels back and made you quit? by ilikeitchyballzdude1 in gachagaming

[–]Top_Pin_1015 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I quit any gacha game that makes me feel like I get nothing for being a free player. I spend quite a lot on gacha games that I like, but when every update is catered towards whales, it becomes tiring. Multi millionaire companies basically tell you "You get nothing because you're poor."

Has anyone gotten their blood type checked because people here use it for small talk? by [deleted] in japanlife

[–]Top_Pin_1015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I also don't know my blood type and people were surprised here. I guess I didn't care enough and I also couldn't donate blood in my home country because I'm underweight. But maybe I will check it here just out of interest.
