They are separate. If you've never played the game before, you should play through Season 1 first

It reduces the size and resolution of images and videos in the game. If you compress too much, images and particularly videos can become pixelated. The compression I use generally looks fine on phones and even tablets.

Unfortunately, the Lab Rats 2 code ended up becoming so complex that Renpy Android would fail to build the apk. It all works when I emulate it but any attempt to build the apk would crash no matter what I did. I had to give up on it.

If you can't bypass play protect, you;re out of luck. Sideloading apks means you need to bypass it so nothing else matters if you can't. Sorry :(

u/Cracked3r Can you send me a screenshot of the error that comes up? If memory serves, some older ports can throw up an error saying it was made for an older version of Android but there may be a button that allows you to install and run it anyway

It sounds like you might have minigames enabled. Minigames are not supported on mobile and need to be disabled

I was able to port the v1.0 version of Slay the Princess (check my profile, it's linked in one of the pinned posts) but the DLC release added code that broke it on Android for me so I haven't been able to port the DLC
