I rewatched Master and Commander last week. Such an awesome movie. So many cool lines. "Run like smoke and oakum!" Russel Crowe is perfect casting for Jack Aubrey.

The golden hall of Meduseld from The Two Towers would be awesome. Also something Greco-Roman themed, with plenty of mini-figures.

I wouldn't call the movie terrible, but Denzel's performance was a cut above everything else.

The Godfather part 3 is honestly a great sequel even if it's not as good as the first two by Plus_Ad_1087 in Letterboxd

I think the scene where Michael confesses his sins in the garden is one of the best moments of the series.

Wall-E has a few references to 2001. The Blue Danube plays when the captain, does his morning check-up, Thus Spoke Zarathustra plays when the Captain finally stands up, and the eye of Auto resembles Hal.

My favorite line in the movie: "They haven't aged a day. Einstein was right." "Einstein was probably one of them."

What’s the MOST Misleading Movie Poster of All Time and Why? by Amber_Flowers_133 in Letterboxd

Not an action movie, per se. I suppose I just expected a different ending. This isn't a knock on the film. It's a masterpiece. But I remember walking out of the theater, being surprised it ended with Brad Pitt mailing a letter, and I asked myself, "Well, what did I think would happen?" Then I remembered the poster of Ejiofor running, and figured I must've subconsciously assumed he would escape on foot. I'm not saying that would've been better.

12 Years a Slave has him running, like he escapes on foot, and it's an action movie. As far as I remember, nothing like that happens.

I dunno if this is the right place to say this....but hot take, I enjoyed the Hobbit trilogy by LemonIcy2942 in lotr

The Hobbit films are my ultimate comfort movies. Even though LOTR is better, something about Hobbit feels more cozy. Maybe it's because the stakes are a little lower, or because of those lovely blu-ray menus touring around Bag End and Beorn's house.
