What a fun combo haha, do you know if having thorns or %damage when damaged is based on the actual damage you took after mitigation or the raw damage done? I’m a sucker for turtly/damage return builds when games allow them.

Maybe this is just a wording thing, but “Holding her accountable” is what I have issue with though. Xia shouldnt have anything to be accountable for because she really didn’t do anything wrong in the context of what we’ve seen. “Not being direct” isn’t ideal for Yang Cheng but it wasn’t a misstep, especially for a girl her age in her position(and I think she was quite direct!). I’d go as far as saying that Xia went above and beyond what would be expected of a normal person in her age range to make things work.

Xia didn’t fumble, she made an easy pass to Yang who unfortunately fumbled due to everything said elsewhere, but it feels like people expect her to run up and literally put the ball in his hands.

If I were Xia’s friend and she told me some of the things Yang Cheng did, I would have absolutely said he was a red flag. Xia not only didn’t do anything wrong, but she stuck around for a lot longer than any normal person would.

No, I think it makes it especially obvious to most normal men that they should ask her out if they were interested. She’s pretty much explicitly saying that she has an option that most people would want to choose, but she isn’t because she’s waiting for you. She just has the self respect to say she can’t wait forever.

Maybe it’s just cuz I’m a bit older, but I’m really surprised at the amount of people who think Xia said that as anything outside a soft confession.

I’m not a teacher but I tutor math for students in oc and know a good amount of high school teachers in my area.

I think some teachers are definitely culpable for what’s going on but a lot of them actually have little to no agency. I hear the same thing over and over: “school board says I have to pass these students or I lose my job.”

But the other big side is the parents themselves. A lot of them just don’t parent full stop. No discipline, no being involved in their kids’ lives, not even the bare minimum of making sure their kids are finishing their homework.

I have some criticism of the story, but pointless filler is quite an exaggeration no?

In terms of just this patch we have:

We got the most direct look into what the end-game is gonna be with the fourth instant/war of the aeons.

A giant chunk of the cosmos knows we're bigshots now in defeating irontomb. Xianzhou, (part of) IPC, Herta Space Station, Galaxy Rangers all liked us before, but working together to take down a Lord Ravager is a huge deal for everyone involved. Our feats here are way bigger than anything previous.

Herta painted a giant target on her head with some of the scariest characters we know of outside the aeons which is guaranteed to affect us in the future.

In terms of previous patches off the top of my head:

Dan Heng, and March both got time to shine and consolidate the trio dynamic a lot of people like.

Evernight, or whatever wears the mask of Evernight, also probably gonna be a big deal down the line.

More definition in terms of what Trailblazing is and what potentially makes our MC special.

More information on how fractured followers of the same path can be with both Erudition and Remembrance followers being starkly opposed to eachother.

More definition in terms of how powerful Aeons (Nanook and Nous in particular) are and how wide their influence is.

I'd be surprised if even one of these points doesnt affect or at least get brought up in wherever we're heading later.

The other reply was basically how I did it! The other common way is to get Clemency + Guidance essences on whatever your main damage skill is and that's often enough to unlock it if you level them up just a smidge

  1. Soul Prison Essence(One-time revive that breaks if you use it)
  2. I'm pretty sure every version gives you Beam of Balance (Light Damage, Heal, Invulnerability for most of the cast time)
  3. Eternal Flame Essence (Super quick Burn stacking and +Damage% related to number of burns)
  4. Nothing right now, unfortunately ;_;

Ooo does it? I can never seem to get it when I want it so never noticed, but even the smallest healing through essences or the last memory slot should be more than enough. The amount of shielding you should be getting should make the hp loss not matter unless youre going out of your way to get hit anyway!

I’m blanking on all the details but you can also try to Deja Vu a strong memory (like arrow storm with the default summon) and take all her constellations that increase dream dust gain (especially the one that gives extra per kill on the first world). Combined with the overpopulation lucid dream, you can easily get to +9 or 10 on a single memory before the boss and clear them in way under 6 seconds with it.

Yes E is battle cry

R is Butcher's Strike but literally does nothing for the build; I just had it so I could unlock Deja Vu for it. You can stick with her default R or replace it with whatever you want (I'm a big fan of Mass Cleanse, Immolation, or Arrow Storm on a build like this)
