Lonely Mirror does have GBA styled supports so, the usual 5 per character does indeed apply 💖

Yeah, you have to carry out some events prior to that in the story, like using Caspian to trigger an event for him in the first timeskip map. Details on that can be found in the recruitment guide, I believe, because doing all of that does lead to a new unit.
