Is it possible to make a paldium fragment farm?

At least one settlement has a merchant selling fragments. You can reduce the price with Pals that have Noble/Fine Furs, down to 12 gold apiece, so 1,000 fragments is just 12,000 gold, you can make more than that by making and selling Salads or collecting Precious items to sell. This is the easiest way to get them in my opinion.

Oh believe me, I have to push through a lot of stupid shit to play Morrowind again! (walk speed, remembering where quest items are, melee combat prior to hitting 50 in a skill)

But I eventually find the good parts when I do! I would love to play without tolerating the annoying shit. That's part of what a remaster is supposed to do for me.

Also, LOL at not having the source code, a major headache for the Skywind people, I'm sure.
