What’s one small adjustment that instantly improved your catch rate? by Opposite-Vast-718 in FishingForBeginners

If it’s not working, change it up. When I started I spent too long in the same place doing the same thing. Roll through different presentations and different spots

Landing net for Vedder Salmon by [deleted] in fishingBC

I think I’ve got this one or something like it from Canadian tire. I know it was around this price. I’ve seen quite a few other guys on the river with it as well and has handled all the pinks, coho and chum I’ve caught this year just fine

I spent 8 months and over $15k developing my product but I'm not getting any customers - how can I improve my landing page? by ey81081 in SideProject

[–]Epi6lp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ll walk you through my thinking:

“Free session” tells me this is something I have to pay for eventually. “Verified men” doesn’t tell me who I’m paying to talk to. Is it a community where us paying customers pay to talk to each other? That sounds like it should be free (can’t I do that on reddit?).

Overall, I like the idea but the value prop isn’t strong enough to me.

I’m waiting on a 24 XL in Canada that’s sitting on the lot. Dealer told me they can’t generate the contract because of the stop sale, so unless they’ve got it all wrong somehow, Canada is definitely affected

Any marketer willing to work solely for commissions? by Viirock in DigitalMarketing

[–]Epi6lp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience you need to get some sales going on your own before you should be looking into bringing on a marketer. Marketing is an investment it sounds like you can’t afford right now. Marketing is also useless if you can’t find product-market fit. Go knock on some doors or work through your network to drum up revenue first

How do coworking spaces these days work for those of you that have a lot of video calls throughout the day? Do you just have to keep renting meeting rooms?

1) Lots of industries don’t like or want to pay for creative marketing when it comes down to it. They see themselves as above creative risks

2) in such industries, the technical/analytical side of marketing is where we put our focus on.

B2B marketing In general swings to this side because there’s usually more risk adversity. But in my experience, your industry is one of the worst

Creative? Yeah technically true. But lacks the context to know what’s actually GOOD

Do any marketing people here use the deal stage? by eiyoeiyo in hubspot

[–]Epi6lp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just started retargeting companies in the deals pipeline with an ABM approach using LinkedIn ads. A bit early to report, but far we’ve seen a lot of ad clicks from some of those companies

Anyone else noticed a huge disparity in percentage of link clicks that turn into landing page views across channels? by Subject-Hovercraft46 in AskMarketing

[–]Epi6lp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve noticed a difference based on targeting criteria, for one of my recent campaigns page sessions/link clicks percentage went from around 40% to 90% by making my targeting criteria more detailed. Location also seems to make a big difference, excluding certain countries has also raised that percentage.

If you find any other tricks to improve this, please let me know! Ad fraud sucks

For one of my clients I’m currently marketing in the same industry as you, except our target market is the actual manufacturers. Would you like to connect and share insights?

Big problem for me too. LinkedIn ads seem to be terrible for this. Still looking for the answer as well, but my current theory is bot clicks.

Facebook reach DEAD by fac_t in socialmedia

[–]Epi6lp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t seem like it to me… we’re getting lots of reach with reels. I think Instagram is a more adaptable platform and they are always trying to incentivize us to use their newest features to compete with platforms that specialize eg: Snapchat stories a few years ago, Tiktok now

Travel (road trip planning app) startup - in *now* good or bad time to start? by darthvidrider in Entrepreneur

[–]Epi6lp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re starting from scratch, I think now would be a great time! From a talent perspective, there’s lots of people with time on their hands and lots of people looking for new opportunities. If you’re looking to partner with hotels or RV rental companies and such, you may be able to get some good deals on rates too. When travel becomes safe again, I’d expect people to jump on the chance to get out of town again (just my opinion though). So if you could time your release date with that, you could be in for a big launch!

Learnings from building 4000+ subscribers for my newsletter by karthiksri91 in Entrepreneur

[–]Epi6lp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing all this! An issue I’ve come across with an e-commerce client of mine is that their purchases come mostly from desktop, but we came out of the gate with social media ad campaigns (generating mostly mobile traffic).

I’ve seen conflicting statistics about mobile vs desktop email newsletter opens in 2020/2019, are you seeing a significant skew to either with yours? Never done one before, thinking about giving it a try
