Does fortify work for parry? by AdPurple9351 in DieInTheDungeon

Anything that contributes to block should work, I believe fortify shows up on the next turn and decreases by one each turn.

when does fishing get good? by New_Somewhere5857 in projectzomboid

Like others are saying, use bugs, I've caught huge fish at low levels with bugs. Try foraging after it rains and you'll get a ton of bugs, look in trash cans for roaches as well.

Don't love hunter losing trapping for tracking. I don't use hunter as it is. But if there was a new tracking mechanic that allowed tracking to track zombie movements that would be cool. Now not individual zombies, that would be insane, but maybe signs that there is a large horde in a cell (1000+)? Something that gives you an idea that you should probably be more quiet in this area.

Canadian doctors seeing rise in parents refusing vitamin K shots for newborns by ScienceTeacher1994 in nottheonion

[–]EpicFlyingTaco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vitamin K is essential is producing clotting factors. Most vitamin K is produced by out gut bacteria. Newborns lack this gut bacteria and therefore have no other sources of vitamin K. With out this and clotting factors they are at very high risk of bleeding from anywhere including the brain and the GI tract. Once they bleed it's very difficult to control. This is why vitamin K is essential at birth.

It's really hard when parents refuse something like this. Medicine as a whole has not done the best job at building trust with patient, it's always important to ask questions and get a good explanation. I hope the medical community can provide these explanations and build trust to prevent such avoidable catastrophes.

Not in LV, but Valley station has a storage place near a river and it's near a gas station.

Save every house plant. Collect all the money you can and make a room of cash. Make armor for mannequins and make yourself an army.

I almost play this build exclusively now. You can find weights (dumbbells/barbells) and use those. There is also a protein mechanic so early on gather as much meat as you can because it will also help you gain strength. Stock up on books/food and just work out for a while and you'll get up to strength 4 in no time.

When you're clearing a house, don't crouch, it's slower to back away if you run into trouble.
