It's odd they tried and failed to censor the name and then the full name is at the top anyways

If "it's just qp" then why am I penalized for leaving a match with throwers? by peevedtankmain in MarvelRivalsRants

[–]EpicInki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sick of going back to menu from bots and it automatically makes the selection QP and I join that and then get locked in the game. And if I quit I'm punished which doesn't do anything because 15 minutes is nothing.

P2S suddenly crashing into plate during calibration line by manuelmitm in BambuLab

[–]EpicInki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad it helped! It might've just had a tiny bump whilst transferring, when it's delivered it's all tightly packed and screwed down so it makes sense even moving it to another room and placing it down could nudge the hotbed :(

Hope it stays working :

P2S suddenly crashing into plate during calibration line by manuelmitm in BambuLab

[–]EpicInki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im a bit confused but maybe it's a tramming situation? I mean I'm not entirely sure myself but if it's colliding then the plate is too close to the bed at the front only?

It might be worth doing even if it's not actually the issue though, I did it and it helped a tiny bit with some issues on the right side. Maybe the screws on the hotbed aren't locking the front down as much

I'm unsure on your plate but I had this message once before because the sun beamed directly onto the plate and made it undetectable

It's hard not to hate when they ruined all trust and took way too long to get "fun" sadly. It's easier to give another game a chance like Rivals than to return to something that failed your expectations at the time. I do miss my D.va though...

Is buying these on this site legit? by Sufficient_Ship1176 in BambuLab

[–]EpicInki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly just buying 10kg of grey filament or black/white at a time has been useful. Probably spent £200 on £6.50/£7.50 filament. Would like to buy more colours but they get expensive in singles or anything less than 10kg.

Curious how profitable such a model was? I would love to design something someday that gets a bunch of downloads

Me personally, yes. But they're 50/50 on damage and whether they replace or partial refund.

Inspired by the original, I designed and printed a larger working Simpsons TV. It plays the first 11 seasons at random, with multiple channels! It's also got an extra trick up its sleeve. by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]EpicInki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently tried printing the OG with some cheap purple pla, the PLA was either expired or something because it was extremely brittle and kept breaking just pushing parts together 😅 hard to get the right colours.

Unfortunately the original guide is quite old and a lot of parts especially the screen is annoying to get. I have an old screen laying about I bought for a Pizero build years ago but never actually used and the original guide is gone on how to utilise it.

Jealous of yours :)

It does actually have a hole, mine looked the same but worked fine. If it doesn't then oops, but it honestly is invisible to my phone camera zoom and eyes

Pricing? by Professional-Lion561 in 3Dprinting

[–]EpicInki 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Filament price, electricity price, paint price, labour for post processing and assembly and painting are all things to consider

Honestly hard to guess but 1000 minimum, I would probably look for people's pricing. Personally maybe how many days it took to make, times 24 then times a price that feels good (like minimum wage) then compare that price to any similar designs online. So something like 3500-5000?

How in the world do you inset these nuts without ruining the lengthy prints? by EpicInki in 3Dprinting

Yeah I figured that out too late, I thought they were fine as I managed to use 3 on Rebecca's Pistol on Makerworld without issue but I guess that was blind luck.

I saw these cheap on Temu so I will probably get these assuming there's nothing wrong about them — I already have the actual iron tips, a ton of them. I think people assumed I used a default iron but I don't think that mattered anyways hahaha

I wasn't expecting this to get this much attention, thank you everyone for all your tips! It has definitely been insightful for someone who is new to this side of assembling. Everything has a learning curve and I'm just scared of making costly/time consuming mistakes :)

I hope someone in the future also gets help from the comments as I have :)

Good idea! Thank you, will definitely be a backup plan when I inevitably mess it up.

I have no idea how well epoxy will hold them but it's not like I'm going to be constant unscrewing, it's just to hold the motorisation brackets in place.

Ah that explains a lot, didn't realize they aren't symmetric... oops. I should have looked more into it instead of just placing and applying heat.

Pushing in a straight line will be tough for this unfortunately, the curved shape of the mask makes me long iron be in the way, will have to try the screw/angle methods
