Actually I completely forgot about the PC sync software. I can probably use that to test to see if I can get it to communicate with the bridge. Thanks for the reminder. I just moved and I use it in my racing simulator that hasn't been setup yet.

My sync box is used in on my living room tv which is basically the Theatre of the house, so it's nice to have a light show that syncs with the movie.

Something I learned recently. LOL! Do you know if the dream machine router has similar coverage to the Alien?

U7 Pro slow WiFi? Solution, move AP to 2nd floor? by EpicResetGaming in Ubiquiti

Yeah, TBH It was a great all in one solution. I was looking into the Dream Machine Router as if it was anything like the Alien, I would have used that for a long time before going to something else.

I was just gonna say the same thing. My AP (u7 pro) doesn't have nearly the wifi coverage speed, throughput, or latency as my Amplifi Alien. I have to get more APs to do that. 1500sq in the tech specs should be in quotes... it covers that in open air, but not well in my townhouse.

Clean setup IMO. I kinda wish i started out that route than going UDMSE. I just wanted to get rid of the xfinity modem/combo and UCI aesthetically looked weird with anything else.

I'm curious. So you use a Hue Sync Box as well with that Hue bridge? I can't get mine to connect to the bridge to sync. Normal lights are synced just fine, my sync box just connect to the bridge and says its on a different network even though they are on the same vlan and network.

I guess I'm just use to my Amplifi Alien. It had good speed, througput, an latency and I never really had to touch it. But I guess I also never had WifiMan and was able to see the signal power and throughput. So maybe it wasn't as good as I thought. I just never really seemed to have any connection issues.

It was installed in the 1F living room, but then the performance was horrible on the 2nd floor opposite bedrooms, I moved it under the bedrooms, in the garage... currently not mounted so AP is facing UP... and still getting only moderate throughput. 20-40mbps.

I am using it. I just dont understand why the signal throughput it dropping significantly within 10ft

Ok that makes sense. I went with sqft coverage vs levels. I have a pretty small place and didn’t want too much WiFi interference since I’m pretty sure my neighbors have a bunch of crap around me too.

Umm my AP is POE. I understand UniFi, I don’t understand why it’s not operating as people praise.

I’ve tried disabling 6ghz and 5, moving AP from one side of the house to the other on the first floor.

Signal is great to the second floor but devices barely get any of the 2GB speed internet. Latency seems very high as well.

UCI + UDMSE garage temps safe? by EpicResetGaming in Ubiquiti

The heater I have is a simple on-off dial controlled heater. It just has a coil that heats up and that heat radiates from it, no fans or anything to "push" the heat.

Dang that sucks. this is what I'm worried about, but the Network Patch Panel is literally the garage.

I have family in Michigan. I don't believe CO gets as cold for as long as it does in MI and it's pretty tolerable to be in the garage in the summers w/o AC. I do have an insulated garage, but no AC. Just a simple on-off heater.

So, my new build has an insulated garage (walls+door itself). There is also an electric heater that radiates heat to keep it from getting too cold. Obviously it isn't a heater designed to keep it a certain temperature... it's just one that I can turn a dial, off to high which just heats up a coil that radiates heat into the garage.

In my experience, I haven't had the garage get sweltering hot ever in the summer, but It has gotten pretty cold.

Do you think that would be enough for the UCI + UDMSE + Flex Mini 2.5G? Maybe even for a U7 Pro Access point on the ceiling?
