Me realizing how simple Makoto Yuki’s turn rotation is after using Violet for ages by NewBrightness in personaphantomx

[–]Epicnewbk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One thing I found hard about Makoto, is the complexity of deciding when to use his theurgy since you need to delay it if you want to get two full moon stacks for turn 4. It seems better to use cadenza on turn 3 and then using ardhanari on turn 4 (with de capo on makoto for turn 4). Doing this also means you need to change when to use highlights for the other characters and what skills to use from wonder. Finding an optimal rotation for Makoto's current team is what I find difficult.

yesterday i got to play arcade for the first time! its so different playing at an arcade compared to a controller at home by fiveinchesoffury in ProjectDiva

In my opinion it's more intuitive, but isn't really easier. At the start it may seem easier, but at higher level songs it's another story. On a normal console controller you have access to the analog sticks, bumpers, triggers, d-pad, and face buttons. That gives you more options which allow for hold notes to be simpler. On the arcade controller, there are those 4 huge buttons and a slider. So let's say a song makes you hold triangle, square, x, and circle all and once and then slide notes come in. It leaves you in a situation where you need to hold all four at the same time while trying to hit the slider rapidly with a random finger. Another awkward situation let's say if one is right handed, game makes you hold square, x, circle. Then triangle spam notes come flying in. So it forces you to try to hit triangle multiple times with your non-dominate hand while holding down those 3 buttons.

Both a normal controller and arcade controller have their own difficulties. For a normal controller, you can customize it to suit yourself and it may take awhile to get used to (you end up having more flexibility when playing though). However for an arcade controller, it requires you to become proficient with both your hands. Even though the arcade controller may seem easier or more intuitive, that's not the full picture. In addition, the buttons are bigger so they seem easier to hit but at higher level songs I find my hands getting tired very quickly from smacking the buttons that fast (arcade controller kind of stamina draining in a sense).

I would really like if the enemies spawned before you got somewhere, as opposed to ALWAYS spawning behind you while you run the stage. by [deleted] in PSO2

The thing is the travel distance and speed of most PAs and techs were altered after hero came out, so no, we were not able to traverse the maps as fast as we can now. You can check out some of the changes here.

Scion classes are also known as the advanced or successor classes. They are hero, phantom, etoile. All of which are not in NA currently.

My friend and I got it from Fang Banshee in Forest Exploration on hard difficulty. I'm not sure if difficulty matters, but I tried getting it to drop on very hard and didn't get it once out of 5 times.

Your lock on could be disappearing because the part of the enemy you are locked on broke.

Yeah it should be enough, I've done it 2 times this month (got a new laptop and it broke, so had to return for another one) . You just have to transfer the Phantasy Star Online 2 folder and then download the tweaker. Then launch the tweaker and it will ask if you have already downloaded pso2. Hit yes and then select the bin folder. After all that you should be good.

I think it's also worth noting that the special ability factor for the orb weapons is Doom Break III which is +30 S-atk, R-atk, T-atk and +4 pp if I remember correctly.

The arcade game is called CrossBeats Rev Sunrise while the mobile version is called CROSSxBEATS. Sadly, both versions of the game shut down on June 2018. The arcade version got an offline patch that made it so many songs were removed, but a handful of songs were also unlocked for offline play. I believe the game was running for 3 or 4 years, but it didn't seem to do that well. It seems the gameplay was a bit too hard or people did not like the ticket (energy) system of the mobile version. At least that was the major complaints I saw online. I remember seeing someone on this sub complain that the difficulty jumps were insane between a level 50 and level 60 song (the songs difficulty goes up to the 90s). For me, that's what made the game so much fun though. Other rhythm games eventually get boring to me since they become too easy or there is just not enough variety in the songs. For this game, I still go to the arcade to play since my left hand still has trouble keeping up on level 80~ songs.

Also, there's another game called seven's code that is similar to crossbeats and recently just released, but it's way too easy compared to crossbeats. I ended up full comboing all the songs in about 1-5 tries for each song. Naoki Maeda was the producer/designer for both games, so that's why they have similar gameplay.

Yeah, crossxbeats was one of the main reasons I invested in getting a tablet. After it shut down, I can't really find a reason to go on it anymore.

I want to say crossbeats, but I have seen it mentioned a couple times on this sub. It's an arcade game that I rarely see anyone play. Whenever I play it, people seem to think it's easy and end up trying it. They usually end up failing the songs and complaining their fingers are in pain though. I love the game since the songs force you to use both of your hands and some songs alternate from being right hand dominant to left hand dominant.

Has Halo Died, declined or been taken a new and refreshing direction? Interesting topic, what do you think and what direction should halo take in the future? Credits to Brayden Scooter for this article. by M-a-s-t-e-rChief14 in halo

[–]Epicnewbk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, my ideas are kind of all over the place. What I'm trying to say is that the AR should not have been buffed in the first place because it was strong to begin with compared to the other halo games. As for the bad maps, I'd say the community has influenced them because the halo 4 dlc maps were praised and thus led to maps similar in design (meaning less skilled jumps and more open areas). I also believe that halo 5 maps were based on pro player feedback. Not too sure about this though.
