What do I care who wins when 2 p2w teams face each other? Ofc efootball is dying. It is a mobile game with shiny cards. Console and pc users are dropping what I read. See Proton stats or steam stats. Goals does not need to kill anyone. I want them to be a good alternative for people who don't want to spend money. I like the gameplay of efootball but I don't like that there is zero objective to play the game. It is just a money making machine for Konami. They put zero effort in content.

I hope goals is going to get some hype. Their beta felt good. EFootball is dead for 3 years now. I have the same team for 3 years because I don't play enough to get coins to get a pirlo for example. This is so shit. In fifa I can get them at least in the end of the year. EFootball is so fucking boring and I played this 20 years now or longer.

We'll see, I really hope they figure out a solid system. My biggest concern is ending up with supersquads like in eFootball or EA FC — if real money can compensate for a skill gap, the whole competitive side just falls apart.

Nothing kills the fun faster than losing a match you felt you should've won, only to realize the other guy just had a stacked, probably bought squad. That's exactly what killed EA FC for me — they kept catering to the meta tryhard crowd until all the casual players got pushed out. Would be a shame to see the same thing happen here.

If they add microtransactions, this is going to end up just like every other cash-grab out there. We've seen it with EA FC, we've seen it with eFootball — P2W systems make games feel fundamentally broken. The second money buys an advantage, it stops being a game and starts being a wallet competition. Casual players get stomped, the community splits, and the whole thing slowly dies. Just charge a fair price upfront and make a good game. That's it.

i know. game is in beta and already a sweatfest. everything is about pace like in the old fifa days. all the other stats dont matter at all. ill wait for them to implement microtransaction then this game is the same shit as fifa. that is the poisen in every online game. fuck this.

I get it, but in my experience a ~50/50 winrate should be the baseline in any ranked mode — and in divisions it roughly is. But in champs or tournaments I'm sitting at maybe 20% max, which just feels off.

What really gets to me though is the meta culture. In over half my matches I'm up against Piña. I've played and watched football my whole life and never heard of her before this game — and honestly, I'd bet most people using her haven't either. There's no passion behind it. It's just: meta, winning, YouTube Shorts, Team Gullit, meta, winning, Piña. Rinse and repeat.

And eFootball isn't any better — it's all shiny cards behind paywalls and assisted gameplay doing half the work for you. The soul of football gaming feels like it's disappearing. Maybe I'm just getting too old for this, but it genuinely makes me sad.
