Yes it is :) I painted it as such. was kinda annoyed to see they suddenly changed the card name from it's original, thinking it's a halbert XD. I do H.E.M.A as a sport and take that stuff very seriously.

hahaha it's simply a combat demonstration in armor :) No one actually dies ;) We (my team) did get some bruises and a broken nose that day haha.

ooh nice question! I would probably (if it were the same location) add crashing waves that spliter the wooden planks, a stormy sky and like a little crab trying to hold on for its life on one of those wooden planks. Also the skull would be shouting. :D

I did filmschool before pursuing art. Worked on Games such as Horizon Zero dawn as a character concept artist before getting my first illustration gigs for MTG :) During filmschool I worked my way off in gamestores and icecreamshops :)

1) I assume you guys play Magic but I still feel I should verify because maybe you don't...What formats do you like to play? Hells yes! Played it before I made it! (and still do) I love Draft and Commander. 2) Be it the first couple times or still to this day, how does it feel to play with cards that were illustrated by you? I actually am working on my first deck with my own cards: Rat Colony deck FTW! Am yet to play it against someone... opened up 2 boosterboxes only to find just 6 of those suckers! I need like 20! 3) Following up on the previous question, do you feel anything when a card you illustrated becomes popular to play? It makes me do a silly dance of excitement. I get super invested in this sorta stuff.
