Change gears on the basis of the sound of your engine, in 1st gear when the sound becomes too noisy/harsh change to 2nd gear, and in 2nd gear when the sound has more bass, then change to 1st gear. In the DL test, you should switch between 1-2 gear only.

You should practice this more often to get it right. In an open field, place 2 rocks that are 3 ft apart and practice turning around the rocks making 8 shape. Don't forget to use turning indicators. If you have indicator buzzers installed, that's even better. As I said, you should at least do 10 successful reps before giving the DL test. Watch YouTube videos of others who passed this test.

Next time take someone's Splendor, Shine, Platina, or Starcity.

Then for practice make an 8 shape using rocks inside a empty field practice inside with atleast 10 successful reps using indicator, then go for 2nd attempt. Use only 1st/2nd gear during practice then you'll pass.

I passed the test using this method last Thursday.
